Abridged to the point of NO content

The abridgment of this text is criminally short. Unfortunately, I bought this on my mobile phone and didn't see how short it was, or I would have known better. There isn't even enough content here for a Cliff's Note. In my opinion, it is extraordinarily irresponsible of Audible to be selling such an incomplete version of the text. Massie's books are great - this version does him a HUGE disservice.

The only good thing I have to say about this is that the reader's voice is good. Pronunciation isn't great, but tone is lovely. Otherwise, this is a total waste of money.

Way too abbreviated...with no unabridged option

To cut this book down to one hour is horrible. I'm so disappointed in this hack job and even more disappointed that there is not an unabridged option.

Tradgedy on a cosmic scale

Any additional comments?

I read the book when it was originally published and several times since then. It deserve an unabridged version. Audible should go the Full Monty for the WWI Anniversary edition. It is that good.

Disappointing

I thought I was getting the whole book, which I have read many times. This was just a digest.

Brief but interesting.

This book tells the highlights of the rise and fall of the last Russian Czar.

Dreadful

An extremely curtailed version narrated by a boring narrator.
Very disappointing after I had read the hardcover novel.

very abridged but repetitive too

What did you like best about Nicholas and Alexandra? What did you like least?

not history, but not bio , couldn't make their mind and unsatisfying for either especially considering how long it took to tell. does the author think restating his opinions again and again makes them facts?
