Quick and cute
Hot Enough was a quick short story, but it was good. It had insta-love and definitely some feels. I would recommend for anyone who wants a HEA and doesn’t have a lot of time to devote to a book.

Older Alpha Male Romance
Nice Enough by Barbra Campbell is a short story insta-love romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Anne Werner.
This is the first book of Barbra’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I can’t wait for more of the Hot Enough series to be released on audible.
Anne did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary romances, older alpha males, or insta-love stories.

A short, sweet and hot read. Small town fire fighter chief meets his match in a much younger city girl who's come to turn his world upside down. Some sweet, some heat - an insta love short read / listen that will have you wishing for more.

My favorite tropes in a quick listen

This is my first experience with Barbra Campbell and I really enjoyed it. Nice Enough is exactly as described: a quick listen (an hour), sexy & sweet, opposites attract, May/December romance. Campbell does a great job of weaving current conversations and interactions with references to previous events that gives the listener a satisfying story line without feeling rushed or lacking. It's a difficult balance in short stories and she does it well. Miles & Annie have great chemistry; personally, emotionally, and sexually. On fire! (sorry, couldn't help myself) There's only one sex scene, but it is definitely smoking. The steam level building up to and after definitely satisfies those looking for a sexy romance.
This is also my first experience with narrator Anne Werner and it was fantastic. Werner not only gave Miles and Annie a unique and fitting voice for dialogue she also gave them an individual sound for the their chapter POVs. I always knew exactly whose perspective a chapter was from. I appreciated that Annie sounded young yet still capable & confident.

Quick and Simple
It's a insta-love romance between an older alpha male and younger women. It's a mix of sweet and spicy. If your looking for something to listen too but don't have the time for a long narrative, this is perfect for you.
