Excellent Spanish Lessons

This book taught someone with a history of trouble learning languages a great deal of Spanish. It was easy to follow and fun to use while commuting to work in the mornings. I only with there was a third book in the series or a recommendation for next steps.

Just love it!!!!! effortless learning! The best!

I can now carry on pretty decent conversations with random people that I meet and they understand me with ease. I've been told several times that not only is my accent wonderful but that I speak Spanish very well. some people cannot even tell that I'm a beginner. this course has helped me become comfortable expressing myself quite liberally it is wonderful foreign language that is not so foreign in anymore.

Uneven pacing, decent material

The material covers a reasonable range. The pacing for the call-and-repeat format is frustrating. They obviously didn’t field test it. Essentially, the teacher says a phrase in English, pauses for the listener to say it in Spanish, then two native speakers say the phrase back-to-back. It would be considerably better to have less of a pause after the initial phrase, with more of a space after the native speaker to repeat. Also, it does make sense to hear the two speakers. However, they could trade off for each phrase rather than both speak each phrase. That would allow for more content in the course.

In short, it’s not well produced but it is worth a run-through for review.

Wonderful Spanish Course!

Great course to improve your fluency. You learn a lot of helpful Spanish phrases. It is a great Spanish verb drill. You will definitely learn when to use the two forms of past tense in Spanish. I loved this book and Paul’s training method.

Great system!

Had to brush up on my Spanish for a job, and Paul Noble did not disappoint. This is a great system, using just the right amount of repetition in a conversational style to reinforce understanding and fluency.

Great intermediate Spanish course

I highly recommended this intermediate Spanish course. The teacher does a great job of breaking things down and repeating them so that you really understand them.

He makes sure you understand

He makes sure you have time to think about how you would respond to his questions and he makes sure you understand how to use English to learn spanish. First book that is like this that I have listened to. You really get a feel for the language and you end up feeling confident and being able to actually have conversations with native speakers. Highly recommend anything by this author

grammar based programs didn't work for me

I'm determined and excited to learn Spanish, lessons day one and I get bombarded with grammar and yo, tu, el, ella..... and i loose all interest until I watch the next Spanish movie. Theres just something demoralising about grammar based learning, don't get me wrong its absolutely important beyond beginner sentences and structuring coherent Spanish conversations. But it zaps the fun out of learning any Romance language.

This audiobook, part one and next steps is different, intuitive, practical and will build on top of that boring grammar stuff in a natural way. I hope my two cents help you decide

Very easy to follow and with the inbuiltvrebidion throughout, I found I remembeted lots of vocabulary without evenvtrying.

Excellent

I have thoroughly enjoyed both of Paul Nobles courses in Spanish. The narration is clear and easy to listen to and the way the course is set out means the user feels confident in learning the language seamlessly. I would love a further course. Muchas gracias!

Easy voice to listen too and learn from

I find Paul Noble's book really easy going. They are repetitive enough to have on in the background although missing anything. Plus the actors voices are easy on the ears.

Muy bueno

Fantastic style but slightly short

As with his first audiobook, this is also fantastic. However it is about half the length and ideally would have some more content, still definitely worth getting.

Overly repetitive

I enjoy these causes and they are clever but I think after the introductory course, they should speed up. The end section with numbers, days of the week etc was completely unnecessary.

Absolutely fantastic way to learn Spanish

What a brilliant series. Having listened to various audio books and lessons online, this is by far the best I have used. The learning experience of building blocks, rather than remembering everything works amazingly well. The actual delivery of content is perfectly paced and the characters are not excruciating like on some audio lessons. I’ve listened once and will be going back through as I have already enhanced my skills.

Loved it

A good next step from the previous course I thought the step up was about right. I have struggled with other courses due to a lack of real understanding where this explains everything as you go.

dissapointing

very very basic spanish and the course actually finishes with an hour and a half left and does a review which just repeats everything you've learnt, which u could have just done by repeating the course anyway.
