    Inspired by the work of Czech science fiction pioneer Karel Čapek, Newts! chronicles an alternate history of the 20th Century in which the western world discovers, exploits, educates, arms, and is ultimately overthrown by a species of highly intelligent amphibians. It’s a farcical yet deadly serious tale about self-interest and the nature of humanity, told as a six part audio drama with original music.

Newts!

So much fun to hear this take on a great old sci-fi book. Eastern European sci-fi has always been some of the most extreme yet at the same time- a deep
reflection upon (at the time) current events. This book was written as the Nazis began their roll across Europe, when people in countries not yet affected were turning a blind eye.

How this master story teller weaves a tale of how an ideology may alter the world before people manage to notice- via Newts- is reason alone to listen to this adaptation.

Great cast and fun original music. Enjoy!
