There’s not much to be found regarding the victims. They were adventurers, making a name for themselves finding treasure at the bottoms of oceans and lakes. They were hired by a local billionaire, but nobody can figure out why and the man in question is being cagey.
Harper always knew her daughter would turn out gifted. The reality is different from the fantasy, however. Poe’s magic is already strong, and when she gets a little encouragement from her friends, things begin to spiral.

It’s an all-hands-on-deck situation for this battle, and only the strong will survive.

This series is becoming my favorite

I love all of Amanda M Lee’/LHH’s books but this series really is extra wonderful. The issues with the children have heart (and lots of great snark). HEA is taking a more nuanced turn as we see these families band together to keep their magical little ones safe but the issues do not just disappear by story’s end. The novels are more complex than that. Angel Clark has really evolved as a narrator too and does an excellent job with this huge cast of characters. I love both books in the series.

I love these books so much and will continue to read but the kids attitudes…I wish they would get a handle on them they are so young and it makes me cringe every time they talk to an adult
