It's Just Ok

An ok superhero action novel. its ultimately nothing special, majority of the characters don't get development and some of the development is somewhat questionable. That said, the voice cast is quite good and match each of their rolls well. Unfortunately the novel isn't really worth the price asked, the money can be used on better books. So I can't really recommend it at its current price.

Much more depth than expected.

Essentially a Hawkeye, Jessica Drew, & Black Widow POV of the events adapted from the comics. I enjoyed the novelization despite some of the changes, and really appreciated a greater depth to some of the characters. This is especially true for Black Widow, who we find after just defecting from the BW program. Good listen, the full cast really helps these comic stories pop. Loved it.

A fantastic read!

A fantastic read! I got it in order to get a better sense of what the Marvel movies might be doing 8n the future. I was not expecting this being a whole production with sound effects, music and different voice actors. loved it very much!

Not Bad for a Performance Piece

Pros: The voice actors were mostly quality casting choices; Iron Man and Hawkeye were particularly well done. Story moved quickly, though it is not directly adapted from the original comic run, and seems to have left segments of the novel out as well.

Cons: Distracting foley work for many sound effects took away from the narration. Russian accents seemed a bit overplayed.

Entertaining!

Lots of action, but Luke needed a little more screen time. Look forward to more Avengers stories.

To much cut content

To start this a good adaptation with good voice acting and a great cast. The problem being that the changes from source material just don't work for me. Wolverine is cut out completely from the story and is the replaced with Hawkeye and black widow. The problem is this leads to problems with the story since Hawkeye was one of the original avengers killed by scarlet witch. They also completely jumped the gun on the Spider woman arc exposing her as a double agent and tossing out her future arcs. The story does follow the main plot with the break out from the fact and the forming of the new avengers.

If your looking for a standalone story then this isn't a bad choice, but if your hoping for a close adaptation then your going to be disappointed.

Great adaptation

Thoroughly enjoy a full cast production like this and the adaptation serves the source material well. Could have done without the Hawkeye / BW fan fiction, but overall a great listen

They turned Luke Cage into "Mr T" from the A Team.

They turned Luke Cage into "Mr T" from the A Team. Terrible writing, this isn't 1974.
