Publisher's Summary

An actor researching a role. A cupcake shop owner with a broken heart. Can he convince her she’s more than a stand-in heroine?

Cassidy Erickson refuses to obsess over the fame-chasing ex-fiancé who left her at the altar. Instead, she’s focused on making her new cupcake shop a success. Then the unthinkable happens. Jase Larson - A-list actor and co-star of her heartless ex - shows up at the family ranch to research an upcoming role.

Jase’s career is taking off, but years of chasing the perfect role hasn’t filled the emptiness in his heart. When he visits Sunset Plains to prepare for a cowboy film, it feels like the place he was always meant to be - especially when he meets Cassidy, the stunning cupcake shop owner who can’t seem to stand him. Too bad it’s all temporary and he’s returning to Hollywood in a month.

When a freak lighting storm fries the appliances at Cassidy’s cupcake shop, Jase becomes her unexpected hero. But Cassidy can’t shake the fear that she’s just a fill-in heroine. Can Jase convince her that he’s really a country boy at heart before he loses her forever?

This is a full-length sweet/clean contemporary romantic comedy that will delight listeners who love Hallmark movies. Each audiobook in this series by USA Today best-selling author Lindzee Armstrong can be listened to as a stand-alone.

This story was previously published as Cupcakes and Cowboys. It has been revised to connect to the No Match for Love series, and expanded so that it is now double the length of the original!

Such a Sweet Story

I flew through this book in one sitting. It was just a super sweet story about a girl who gets her heart broken by her fiance. In comes another guy who knows old fiance. New guy and girl fall in love. I loved how the story unfolded, it was fairly predictable, but I do not mind that. The main characters encouraged to keep going in their respective careers, baking and acting. Sweet happy ending. I did love the setting in Oklahoma. It was a refreshing change of scenery. My only complaint is it was too short. I loved the characters and stories so much that I was sad when it was over.

This is the second book I have listened to by Tiffany Williams and she is one of my favourite female narrators for auidobooks. Her voices are distinct and well done. Her performance adds to the story.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request, and I have voluntarily left this review.

No Wedding Cakes!

I originally read this, before it was revised for the MATCH series, as "Cupcakes and Cowboys," but other than a few seamlessly interwoven tie-ins to the core story it appears to remain basically unchanged and as delightful as before. This bright and breezy romance strikes all the right chords: good guys, bad guys, a feisty heroine and a fabulous setting, well written and charming. Of course, I grew up with cowboys in the movies and on TV so my nostalgia bone was on high alert but Ms. Armstrong gets the details right as past tragedy is overcome and true love wins out. (No spoilers--we know this MUST occur because it is an HEA [Happily Ever After]!)

UPDATE--re"read" AUDIO version:

Listening to this immediately after hearing Book 8, I really enjoyed the segue of Jase, a side-character from the cruise, into the lead. And, surprise! The heroine is none other than the sister of the cruise VIP coordinator! Didn't get a chance to enjoy "Match Me by Christmas" yet? No worries--this story stands completely on its own. I should point out that narrator Tiffany Williams, a favorite among voice artists, does her usual superb job, adding Oklahoma drawl to a captivating story.

Enjoyable

Both the author Lindzee Armstrong and narrator Tiffany Williams are new to me.

This is a sweet and romantic story that I enjoyed; the narration was strong and enhanced my enjoyment and she was able to convey different voices for the characters, which was good.

Cassidy is still reeling from events that left her scared and devastated with a broken heart.

When Jase suddenly appears at her family ranch to immerse himself in the Cowboy lifestyle for his next acting role, the last thing she wants or needs is to be attracted to him.

Even worse he is supposedly best friends with her jerk of an ex, another actor.

Jase is determined to break down the walls that Cassidy has built up, determined to prove that all actors are not like her ex.

As the walls begin to crumble, Cassidy and Jase begin a slow dance to love.

Sweet Listen!

Never Say Match by Lindzee Armstrong is such a sweet second chance at love. I so enjoy the writing style of this author, and I find the narrator, Tiffany Williams is perfect for bringing the characters to life. She has distinguishable voices for them, and inflicts the right emotions. This book is both part of a series and a standalone listen. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Sweet and Clean!

This is the book 9 in the No Match for Love Series. The story is sweet, fun, and clean. Cassidy, a cupcake shop owner, and Jase, an actor, are both great and likable characters. I love the HEA. Tiffany Williams did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

Sweet fun romance

Audio Review
4.5 Stars for this cute fun romance.
Lindzee Armstrong is a new author to me and Tiffany Williams the narrator is also new to me but after listening to this fun sweet romance that is about to change I will certainly be checking out other books and narrations from both of them.
This entertaining listen had me hooked from the first chapter to the very last line and I listened to it in one sitting. The characters have chemistry and some very witty banter and the narrator does a great job of being them to life. I loved the characters, I loved the story and I’m looking forward to reading or listening to more from this author and narrator.

Sweet

This was an excellent sweet clean contemporary romantic audiobook. It was a great story with a fantastic hero and heroine to love. They each had great personalities and a real sweet and romantic story. Really shows the importance of compromise and forgiveness in a relationship. The narrator did a great job clearly distinguishing voices and bringing them to life. Loved it!

Cupcakes, Cowboys & Charm

I read this books when it first came out as 'Cupcakes and Cowboys', let me just say that I loved it then and I love it now. Lindzee did an amazing job weaving Cassidy's story into the No Match for Love series. I'm always a bit skeptical when authors try to do this, but Lindzee nailed it! This is a super sweet, cute and fun love story. Great as a standalone or part of the series! Tiffany Williams, the narrator, is fantastic as well. I could listen to her read stories all day long.
