Fear and Romance

Lorana out did herself again. it keeps your attention through the entire book. I enjoyed the light romance that was in the book and the way it keeps you captivated into trying to figure out who the arsonist is. I look forward to reading or listening to the next book that comes out

Pretty Good

A good addition in the Fire Beach Series. Suspenseful, Entertaining and Sweet. The only negative I would say about it is this, I had trouble distinguishing between character voices at times and when the POV switched from one character to another. But that can happen at times and didn't bother me overly much. Now on to the 3rd in the series.😊

Great Read

Never Forget the Past (The Men of Fire Beach #3) was another great read by Lorana Hoopes. Bubba has a troublesome past that comes back when Makenna comes back into his life. We find out that Bubba had to change his name and start his life over in a new town. But Makenna is investigating more arson/murders that are cropping up again and must get Bubba’s help to find out what is going on. I enjoyed reading Makenna and Bubba’s story and can’t wait to read more by Lorana Hoopes.

amazing romantic suspense

An amazing well written romantic suspense. This clean engaging storyline had me addicted page after page with intrigue, romance, family drama, plenty of suspects, and lots of twists and turns. The characters are realistic, interesting, and well developed with loads of chemistry as they try to track down the arsonists suspect after suspect. I voluntarily read and reviewed this incredible ARC.

Captain Drake figures it out.

Romantic suspense is not my normal genre. That being said, this is well done and the killer is successfully disguised until the very end. There are several clues and red herrings to keep you guessing. Also a good love interest. Clean.

Finding love

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me in suspense & constantly trying to figure out “who done it” while wanting Makenna & Bubba to admit their feelings. The two main characters struggled with their feelings but kept their relationship professional until the end. Looking forward to the next book in the Fire Beach series.

An exciting and suspenseful mystery!

The premise for this story is really interesting - what a difficult decision that would be to make. I did wonder why the cops wouldn't have asked the FBI for help.

I also wondered why Makenna would let a civilian tag along on the investigation with her? I didn't think it was even allowed. (And going in to a confrontation without backup is a definite no. Would've worked better to give her a reason to have to go in without waiting)

The main characters were likeable, though their thoughts of attraction to each other seemed kind of stilted. Poor Matt/Bubba - I'd be paranoid & wondering about everybody, too. It would be awful

The suspense was built up well, with a steady pace.
The identity of the arsonist was a surprise - I did not guess it.

The ending leads into the next story - not a cliffhanger, per se, more like a brief sneak peek to the next book.

*Clean romance level: sweet kisses
*Religion: generically Christian, some talk of prayer but no preaching

[The author does a great job narrating her own book!]

don't play with Fire

You think something is done and over with but then it starts back up. What do you do. Matt has to be found so Kenna does just that and brings him back to town to help her work the case. What made the arsonist/murder start up again ? Can they find the person doing this? I receive books for free from the autho or publisher and freely give them my honest opinion of the story.

5-🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Lorana Hoopes, You Did It Again; with this book 3, "Never Forget Your Past," which is a romantic, suspenseful, action, addition to her "The Fire Men of Fire Beach Series.

The storyline was well written, with a "Whodunit" vibe throughout the whole book. The only thing missing for me was the romance. I would like to have had more in the bedroom between the two of them.

Lorana Hoopes was also the narrator of this book and I think she did a pretty decent job than most. Sometimes it was like she was just reading a story, than other times she was right in character.

I would recommend this novel to others to read or listen too.

Whodunnit with romance!

When the arsonist comes back to Woodville and begins to take lives, Captain Makenna Drake reaches out to the one person she thinks can help solve the case. Matt Fisher. aka Bubba moved to Fire Beach when he was cleared of the fires five years earlier, the only link being himself. Can he help Makenna find the culprit and keep Woodville safe? And what about his growing attraction of Makenna? Lorana Hoopes takes us on a wild ride of suspense and wonder as we move through an ever growing list of suspects. It's thrilling and exciting as we try to figure out who it is. Each person leads to more questions, plus we get the budding romance of Makenna and Matt! It's another wonderful addition to this series. Narrated by Lorana Hoopes, she brings it all to the table, letting us know exactly the way the story is to be told. She is a fantastic storyteller and I loved every minute of it!
