Natural Dual-Mage
The ending of a wonderous adventure. It is bitter sweet to see these two go, I love the relationship between Emery and Penny. Nicole Poole did an amazing job narrating the series, and I love her work. K.F. Breene once again has me wanting for more of these characters, I wish I could see this story morph into a 15 book series...sorry, I just can't get enough.

so good
if I'm being completely honest this book is getting a bit redundant. however, i am invested in Emery's and Penny's story, so i'm going to continue listening until the end. i also love this series and Raegan (sp*) and i'm completely invested and i have to finish what I have started... that's just a personality trait of mine. so i love it, yes i do, and i love the author also, but i'm DYING to finish this series honestly.

I love it but
I love the whole DDVN series and I fully enjoyed Penny and her antics. That said, all of the side characters pissed me off at one point or another. Especially Emery. To me, he was just a whiny coward the whole time. From the first book all the way through the last, all he thought about was himself disguising it as looking out for Penny's best interest. That's really the only reason I didn't give this a perfect rating.

In love with the characters and dialog
once again I want to jump into this series and be friends with these colorful people that make me laugh. great depth of story development. I can't wait for the next book. hint hint.

Another Great Series by this Author
I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this series, but after getting the first book I kept coming back for more. Great world building and character development. I first read the Levelling Up series and really enjoyed the way the world expanded in each book. The same can be said about this series and I realised belatedly that she wrote this series before the Levelling Up series. I love that the author creates distinct characters in all of her series with hints at other characters in different worlds. It could also be the continuity of the characteristics of species across worlds. Overall an enjoyable read and I love the way Nichole Poole brings the story and characters to life. She is one of, if not the best I have ever listened to. Highly recommend this series if you're looking to escape reality and be enveloped by a new world.

Good, but not the best!
I need more Raegan Somerset and her story :( I liked Penny and Emery but Penny was too.... juvenile? Innocent? I want gritty and strong. I need more Raegan! I’ll move on to the next book in the DDVN series although I don’t think I’ll enjoy it. These 3 books were hard to get thru but the conversations between everyone were amazing. Which is why I stayed. I love Nicole Poole! Love her!
