Publisher's Summary

Utah Sheridan intends to win Nashville Rising Star at all costs; will his bribe be the end of Emerald Braun?

There were only three of them left now - Casey Montgomery from Oklahoma, the darling Emerald Braun, and Utah Sheridan. By this time next week, Utah was banking on only two left standing before the show even started. Emerald Braun wouldn’t be one of them. He reached into his pocket and pulled out an envelope. Everything he'd wanted the past few years depends on what’s inside it.

Dool

I enjoyed this book very much, some people will do anything to get what they want, then there are those that make the right choice. The narration was wonderful.

Nice quick listen!

Any additional comments?

It was a very quick listen, but I enjoyed the story and the entertaining narrative. I do wish it was a little longer to get more invested into the characters and learn more about the budding romance!

Great listen for a commute or lunch break!

Utah wants to be his own man. He is tired of being in his country singing star father's shadow. It is his time now as Utah enters a contest. His ambition just may blow it for him though.

Emerald is a waitress who has everything to gain and everything to lose. Then she is offered a way to walk away from the contest much richer, but is it what she really wants?

A great short story by Maxine Douglas. Cathy Cunningham Fennel brought this story to life. I loved her narrative and her characters. It was a great listen!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fun little drama

If you could sum up Nashville Rising Star in three words, what would they be?

A suggestive romance.

What does Cathy Cunningham Fennel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is a great narrator. She kept my attention by changing her voice pitch for different characters.

Any additional comments?

I wish it was a longer book. It hinted of a romance and left me hanging. Great quick listen.

A peek into what’s going to be an awesome series!

Nashville Rising Star

By: Maxine Douglas Narrated by: Cathy Cunningham Fennel

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these characters. The author did a great job with the personalities and I already love all of them. I think I see an intimate relationship brewing, but I’m not sure how I will feel about that. I both want to see them together and I don’t.

The writing was excellent; the perfect amount of character development given when it was needed. The characters are easily relatable. The narrator did a great job, but I think there should be recorded songs on line to go with the book.
This is a short story leading into what’s going to be an awesome series. Even though this was super short, it was written just right for the length. Overall, I give this short and sweet story a 5 star rating.

Short but sweet.

A short but sweet story of two performers in a country music competition. One wishing to get out of his father's 'fame' and another one wanting just to write music. A lovely story and one which has you cheering them both.

Interesting book

Nashville Rising Star, Series: Nashville Duets, Book 1
By: Maxine Douglas, Narrated by: Cathy Cunningham Fennel

This book is from a series Nashville duets. It is about a young man trying to win a competition. It involves success, ambition, love, and values. The narrator did a good job, thanks to the enthusiastic intonation, tempo and voice it is interesting to follow the story. It is just 44 minutes long so you are able to listen while going to work.

My hope is that this review helps in your decision whether to obtain this book.

Nashville Rising Star Review

What a sweet short story.

Just imagine being able to make your dreams come true in front of all of America, that’s what three up and coming stars are working on, and all three are in a live competition against each other.

The stakes are high with only one being picked to win a recording label. But the competition isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, when the winner is finally chosen can the other two find common ground, or will everything be lost for good? Feelings, friendships and emotions are all hanging in the balance for everyone, but who will be chosen?

Loved this short story, and I look forward to listening and or reading the rest of this wonderful series!
