Finally, Answers I thought I'd NEVER HAVE!!!

Been in a horrific relationship with a narcissist for 16-1/2 years and the last year, I couldn't FATHOM his actions and reactions to HIS ADMISSION OF INFIDELITY WITH $20 CRACK WHORES THE ENTIRE EXISTANCE TOGETHER, or why I can't"put him down" because it's like I'm addicted to him... THANK YOU FOR THIS BOOK ITS EVERYTHING I NEEDED AND COULDN'T UNDERSTAND!!!

Section 1 is Good. 2 & 3 are incomprehensible

Another reviewer mentioned this, but it does seem like a non-native English speaker was contracted to ghostwrite sections 2 and 3 of the book, and sometimes it is nearly incomprehensible. Very frustrating. Section 1 was good, and there may have been some good stuff in 2 & 3 but the bad English was frustrating, and eventually, I gave up.

Excellent audiobook

Love this book! It talks about Co-dependency in a completely different manner than I've ever read. It's deep and it really helped me understand where my co-dependency stems from.

Half Baked Book

The first parts on narcissism were very clearly laid out and truly helpful, but as the book dips into its chapters on codependency it devolves. I’m not sure who edited this or why the author felt ok slapping their name on it, but it’s embarrassingly badly written. It sounds like AI churning out predictive text and becomes completely unintelligible. It’s essentially a bunch of buzzwords strung together in almost sentences.

a lot of information

This book has a lot of interesting information. describing Narsissist how they break you down and use you. Then she describing codependency and people pleasing traits and how to over come them. I might have to listen to a few of the suggestions again because the book is so long but all the information is necessary.

Weirdly shifts about 1/3 in

I really enjoyed the first third, and then the writing style shifts about 1/3 in and it’s almost like the author hired someone to finish it that had English as a second language? It’s after the giant reference list in chapter 18. There was A LOT left, so I ended up returning it for my audible credit. Disappointing. The first 1/3 was helpful.
