Publisher's Summary

Individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder engage in chronic devaluation and manipulation of their partners, a psychological and emotional phenomenon known as narcissistic abuse.

I hope with all my heart that this guide can help those who at this moment find themselves sunk in a relationship with individuals who have narcissistic/malignant personality disorders, the individuals in question are often called psychos, very often inappropriately, by those who do not know exactly what it means to deal with an individual with this type of personality and peculiarity.

I will not talk about the events I had with them specifically out of respect, but I will demarcate the guidelines and behaviors that these people implement in most cases, first to suck the soul and feelings out of the prey, and then to leave it in oblivion and in total confusion.

Pathological mind games, covert and overt put-downs, triangulation, gaslighting, projection, these are the manipulative tactics survivors of malignant narcissists are unfortunately all too familiar with. As victims of silent crimes where the perpetrators are rarely held accountable, survivors of narcissistic abuse have lived in a war zone of epic proportions, enduring an abuse cycle of love-bombing and devaluation.

In this book, survivors will learn:

  • Eight signs you are suffering from Narcissistic Abuse Syndrome.
  • How they control your mind.
  • Six keys to build immunity to Narcissistic Abuse.
  • Tips for people who have suffered abuse from narcissist.
  • The motives behind narcissistic abuse and techniques to resist a narcissist's manipulation.

Quick listen!

I've read a lot of books about Narcissism, this book goes much deeper into the how and why and covers new ground. An excellent book for someone who is seeking healing from narcissist relationships (partners and parents and employers) who has already read a lot of the literature and is looking for deeper information instead of a lot of personal stories.

This book was very informative.

This book was very informative. While emotionally difficult to read at times, it was also uplifting. It offers a practical approach to learning how to interact with the world after being cut down by a narcissist as well as uplifting hope to finding oneself after experiencing the shame and guilt-tripping of the narcissist in one's life.

A well balanced book.

A well-balanced book. A lot of important information gathered in this book. This being the case, you might argue that narcissistic abuse isn’t a conscious or purposeful behavior on the part of the narcissist; rather, you might view this abuse as simply an unfortunate, but inevitable, byproduct of trying to establish loving or mutually respectful relationships with people who are entirely unable to uphold their end of the bargain.

very insightful.

This topic is a sub-topic within a larger group of narcissistic abuse - it deals with the kind of abuse that is hidden, covert, manipulative in such a way that it's often not noticed until major damage has been done, making it extremely insidious.

Powerful.

Absolutely anyone can benefit from reading this book. I would recommend this book especially to anyone who is in or has been in a situation with an emotional abuser. While it is true that some emotional abuse is more severe than others, I think nearly everyone experiences the effects of an emotional abuser at some time or another.

Very positive impact.

This book is a comprehensive but not too heavy read about the process of recovery from psychological abuse. I was in an emotionally abusive marriage for ten plus years and my adult children are just beginning the recovery from the impact the abuse also had on them.

Good information.

There is much good information here that is easily understood. I very much like the extensive exercise questions that take up a large portion of the back of the book. I am actually working through those, this is not something I usually do in these kinds of books. The author takes you through the steps in healing, a process that most of us end up doing over time, but without realizing what is actually happening.
