Growing up motherless in 1980's Miami Beach, Sienna and her little brother Siddhartha get by with their charismatic and capricious father, Jackson Jones. Couldn’t finish it

I wanted to love this book but the graphic SA scenes including a child of 12 was too much for me; I returned it. 🙁

I loved this book so much

I absolutely loved this book. Jenna Brooke Wolloch does an amazing job bringing her characters to life in the 1980s Miami setting. I really felt like I was there and didn’t want the book to end highly highly highly recommend.

Amazing writing, amazing story!

I listened to the audiobook version on Audible, narrated by the author herself, and she’s an excellent reader — her voice adds even more depth to the story. Definitely check it out!

Loved listening to every minute

A beautiful heartbreaking story of resilience.. the characters were so personal-I felt the love, pain, sadness, joy, hope, desire they felt.. and when they ultimately accepted their reality, my heart broke and warmed all at once.. I highly recommend this read..
