Mythics & Mercenaries: The Dark Ascendant

Earth has experienced a great cataclysm, and the world has changed. Magic, creatures, and races long vanished have reappeared. Deities absent from the old world have joined together to save Earth, and have created a new world order. And the Amersian Age has begun.

Drayton has been elevated to a new position in the Church of the Six. His leadership has given him the task to investigate an attack on one of their temples. What was meant to be a simple investigation turns into a conspiracy that threatens the nation.

The blend of history and real life cities

Although the build up was slow it was very much needed to build up the momentum of the hand returning. It kept me awake for hours wanting to know what drayton would do next.

A nice short listen

The story starts out kinda rough, with a lot of exposition, but it picks up the pace once the real meat and potatoes get under way.

Fun and creative!

Invested the whole time. Enjoyed the characters and the setting, excited to see where the story goes!
