Overall this was pretty good

This was a little young for me but was very well done. I really liked the story line as well as being long enough to really sink your teeth into. The narration was good. It would have been better if it was a dual narration, but that's just my opinion and I won't ding this review because of that. I was still entertained and that's the goal of any book.

An Enchanting Trilogy for All Ages

The Complete Trilogy, narrated by the talented Dave Cruse, delivers an unforgettable experience that captivates both young and old listeners. My journey through this trilogy, accompanied by my kids during our car rides, was nothing short of magical. Wyatt's storytelling prowess is on full display as she masterfully weaves vibrant fantasy tales that are not only age-appropriate for younger readers but also irresistibly engaging for older ones. This enchanting trilogy explores the extraordinary realms inhabited by dragons, unicorns, fairies, and more, with each installment building upon the last to create a truly captivating narrative.

The trilogy kicks off with Harley Maegher, an eighth-grader who stumbles upon a dragon egg on the beach. The connection between Harley and the newly hatched dragon, Steria, is heartwarming. Wyatt beautifully illustrates the bond that forms between humans and mythical creatures, highlighting the importance of empathy and compassion. As the story unfolds, the threat of government agents looms large, and readers are taken on an exhilarating adventure filled with suspense, mystery, and unexpected twists. The character growth of Harley is especially well-crafted, making him a relatable and admirable protagonist.

In the second installment, we delve deeper into the world of magic as Daisy encounters a unicorn named Kajri among her horses. Daisy's unwavering determination to protect Kajri adds depth to her character and demonstrates the value of friendship and loyalty. Ana's desire to help Daisy by harnessing the unicorn's horn adds an intriguing layer of complexity to the story. Wyatt skillfully explores the challenges faced by young characters in a magical world, fostering empathy and understanding among readers. "An Unexpected Escapade" is a testament to Wyatt's ability to create realistic and heartwarming endings.
:
The trilogy reaches its thrilling climax in the third book as Franklin embarks on an extraordinary journey. His chance encounter with a sasquatch-like being leads to an adventure of a lifetime. Wyatt's world-building shines in this installment as Franklin immerses himself in the world of the Sanrajsaka, learning martial arts skills that are both awe-inspiring and vital for the quest ahead. The stakes are higher than ever as Franklin strives to correct his mistake and save an entire magical world. The narrative encourages readers to reflect on the impact of human actions on the world around them, making it a thought-provoking and meaningful read.

One of the standout features of the Myth Coast Adventures trilogy is its exploration of complex themes in a way that is accessible to young readers. Wyatt deftly balances the classic struggle between good and evil while avoiding simplistic stereotypes. Instead, she presents a nuanced portrayal of characters, both human and mythical, allowing young readers to contemplate the consequences of their actions and the importance of empathy. Through the adventures of Harley, Daisy, and Franklin, readers are inspired to think about their own role in preserving the environment and the delicate balance between humans and nature.

Dave Cruse's narration is nothing short of remarkable. His ability to bring each character to life with distinctive voices and his engaging storytelling style enhance the audiobook experience. Cruse's performance adds depth and dimension to the already captivating narrative, making it a joy to listen to.

In Myth Coast Adventures: The Complete Trilogy, Kandi J. Wyatt has crafted a timeless and enchanting tale that will resonate with readers of all ages. This middle-grade fantasy series is a testament to the power of storytelling to inspire imagination, foster empathy, and encourage responsible stewardship of our world. Whether you're embarking on this journey with your children or enjoying it on your own, you're in for a delightful and thought-provoking adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend this audiobook trilogy to anyone seeking a magical and meaningful literary experience.
