Mysterious Ways: Discovering the Miracles of Life as I Fight for My Own is a collection of heartwarming, inspiring, spiritual, emotional, and seemingly unbelievable stories in the life of author Jay Gittleson.
Jay’s childhood was filled with enough trauma and drama for a dozen TV specials, including a triple-murder in his family.
However, a rough childhood was just the start of Jay’s miraculous journey. One of the most miraculous stories is how Jay chose to deal with facing end-stage renal failure.
Jay, a Jewish man, and his Catholic wife move to the small town of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, after Jay has a vision. The couple is led to an evangelical church that works hand-in-hand with Orthodox rabbis to help save his life.
When reading Jay’s stories, it sometimes feels like you’re listening to a real-life Forest Gump who becomes mysteriously connected to several famous people. People like the sitcom star Fred “Rerun” Berry and baseball legends Darryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden keep popping up in Jay’s life at important moments.
But the most moving miracles in Jay’s audiobook are about the ordinary people he connects with, like the dancer who offers Jay a kidney, the homeless man on the subway who becomes a confidant, or the gambler who is also a talented poet.
