The Real Experience

It is true that you can hear another radio program in the background, but this is exactly as I remember hearing these programs as a child. While hearing a pristine remastered copy is wonderful and expected, this copy is almost exactly as one might have experienced the program fifty years ago. Great story! Great performance! Great experience: it took me back to my childhood and those late night car rides through farm country.

ABYSMAL sound quality!

I presume this meant to sound like a 40s radio drama - at least I hope that was the intention! Between the "realistic" static, the leak over from another "station" and the varying sound volume of the story, this is really just not listenable.

Good story ,background noise

The fact that there where background noise ,almost like another story playing in the background took away from the listening experience.

Classic Radio Show Episode

This was a fun episode of old time radio show about a woman who was afraid of a man in a black derby. Has a Twilight Zone feel.

Extremely poor quality

You can hear another track in the background. Lots of static as well. My dad has old radio programs on cassette tapes that he has listened to for the past 20 years that have better sound quality than this.

Do not buy - overlapping audio from two shows

Do not buy this audio of an old time radio show. I don’t know whether the problem is with the master tape of the original show or whether it occurred when this was digitalized, but for almost the entire show, there is a second show that is overlapping and playing in the background. Very distracting, to say the least.

Very typical for the time period

I love old radio shows. However I can only give this one three stars because it is a terrible recording; an episode of another old radio program, "Rogue's Gallery" bled through strong enough for me to identify it.
