Publisher's summary

Lillian Linden is a liar. On the surface, she looks like a brave survivor of a plane crash. But she's been lying to her family, her friends, and the whole world since rescue helicopters scooped her and her fellow survivor, Dave Hall, off a deserted island in the South Pacific. Missing for almost two years, the castaways are thrust into the spotlight after their rescue, becoming media darlings overnight. But they can't tell the real story--so they lie.

The public is fascinated by the castaways' saga, but Lillian and Dave must return to their lives and their spouses. Genevieve Randall--a hard-nosed journalist and host of a news program--isn't buying it. She suspects Lillian's and Dave's explanations about the other crash survivors aren't true. And now, Genevieve's determined to get the real story, no matter how many lives it destroys.

In this intriguing tale of survival, secrets, and redemption, two everyday people thrown together by tragedy must finally face the truth…even if it tears them apart.

I thought this book was ok it wasn't bad but it wasn't thrilling either. The overall storyline was interesting and the ending was nice.

Thought Provoking and Entertaining

If you were stranded on a remote island, certain you would never be found; how would your life change? How would you react in the face of terrifying circumstances? What choices would you make for your family? Those were the types of questions that were in my head as I blazed through this book. Any book that can make you think that deeply and still be entertaining through to the end is a quality piece of work. For me, it was thought provoking, but never at the expense of the pace of the story. I'm not sure everyone will read it and think this way, but it did it for me.

I loved the ending. It wasn't a huge twist, but I didn't really see it coming. I thought it was perfect.

Loved every minute

Emily Bleeker's descriptive skill really paints a vivid picture for readers, which is especially important in "Wreckage." Having male and female narrators enhanced the experience. There's a little bit of something for everyone in the story. Do yourself a favor and read it today!

A good story

I enjoyed the culmination of the events after they were rescued. Believability is key in a story as such. I would have enjoyed more about the rescue which became irrelevant. But overall this story was well read.

Good Story! Great Narrative

I purchased this a long time ago. But, I kept putting others ahead of it. Sorry I did that. It was a good story told from a male and a female point of view

Really liked this book!

Would you consider the audio edition of Wreckage to be better than the print version?

I liked the audio version of this book a little better just for the convenience of being able to listen during my long commute to work.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It kept me on the edge for the first 2/3 of the story, but then it plateaus out for awhile, then peaks again towards the end of the book.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when the plane crashed into the ocean and the escape from the sinking plane.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I really did enjoy this book and would've liked to listen to it in just one sitting.

?? could have been read better

The storyline is good and interesting. When there are two names in the narration; I thought the narration would be a blend of the voices in the readings. Very disappointed in that aspect. The lady's voice was horrible in adding depth to the different characters. It was almost as bad when the male narration tried to portray a woman's voice. In my opinion, it would be worth your while to Hereford this book.
