Publisher's summary

Parrots are flying loose all over a convention hotel, making trouble and imitating everything everyone says. Monkeys are swinging from chandelier to chandelier. Michael is a teacher moonlighting as an actor in the show Porfiria, Queen of the Jungle, and the cast, crew, and their exotic animal colleagues are performing at the hotel. Michael and his partner Meg have become part of the show’s family—but as with most families, there's a member who's very difficult to like. QB, the actress playing Porfiria, is a true drama queen, with a drinking problem and a bad attitude. When Meg attempts to extract the recalcitrant QB from her dressing room, Meg finds her dead. Now Meg and Michael, despite the zany atmosphere, must solve the murder.

Meg Langslow #5

Love the characters and the plot twists. I was able to guess who-dun-it but enjoyed the trip getting there. On to the next book in the series.

Each Meg Lanslow gets better and better

I wasn't sure when I first started this series, I was at the end of all my favorites and must wait for the yearly release which then caught in a few hours. Dread when that happens. This series appealed to me base on reviews, well and the fact there are over 20 already! It will keep me busy. The first 2 seemed a little over the top and the family like a bad sitcom to me. I know I know sounds like a bad review but the last 3 books the quirky family grows on you and reeled in to not be so outrageous. This book was awesome and I didn't even figure out "Who Dunnit" until close to the end. The end had a twist causing me to doubt my final selection which was awesome!

wonderfully funny story

Loved the story, and the plot. This one had me actually laughing out loud in certain parts! I'll admit, I was surprised at the narration. I thought that it wouldn't be as good as it turned out to be.

Fun family oriented series for animal lovers

Perfect mystery series for animal lovers.

The Quirky Characters absolutely make this series.

Meg Langslow accompanies her boyfriend Michael to a fan convention. She sets up a booth with the intention of selling some of her blacksmith trade items such as swords.

However her attention will soon have to be focused on a murder that occurs when a very unpopular member of the cast meets an untimely end. - Megan gets some interesting clues from a number of African Grey parrots, and some support from a tiger and even some monkeys ...

I love this series

I have read the complete Meg Langlow series and am disaapointed that Audible is not carrying all of the books in the series. In fact, the two books carried by Audible are probably my two least favorite in the series. Having said that, they are still excellent "reads". After reading the paperbacks first, I usually have a hard time adjusting to the voices of the narrator. However, Bernadette Dunne did an excellent job. The story takes place at a science fiction convention, along with live parrots, monkeys and tigers - oh my! Imagine a diva actress, fans dressed in costume, an evil little dog, a murder and chaos of the most hilarious nature. If you like to laugh out loud, I recommend this book!

Very witty with a good mystery

Non stop action involving well fleshed characters some unguessable murder mystery ideas. Meg the main character has a smart and fun personality, I always enjoy Donna Andrews Books.
