Publisher's summary

In L.A., Cassie Black is another beautiful woman in a Porsche: except Cassie just did six years in prison and still has "outlaw juice" flowing in her veins. Now Cassie is returning to her old profession, taking down a money man in Vegas. But the perfect heist goes very wrong, and suddenly Cassie is on the run - with a near-psychotic Vegas "fixer" killing everyone who knew about the job.

Between Cassie and the man hunting her are a few last secrets: like who really set up the job, why Cassie had to take the chance, and how, in the end, it might all be a matter of the moon....

Must read story

If you like Michael Connelly, you will love Void Moon. He can tell a story as well as anyone in the business. Usually Connelly's main characters are males involved in law enforcement. In Void Moon, the main character is a female ex con. This is a big change and he not only pulls it off but it is one of his best and that says a lot.

Void Moon is a story within a story within a story within a story. The plot never stops unfolding and refolding since the reader discovers the background a piece at a time through almost the last page. The villain is horrible and the hero has many more faults than heroes usually have. Connelly gives the reader lots to love and lots to hate.

Another can't miss Connelly.

Excellent ‘Perils of Pauline’ remix

Starts out slowly, but engagingly.
Once momentum builds, it is a page burner.
The narration is spot on.

MIchael Connelly always delivers.

Void moon, set in Las Vegas and LA, keeps the story humming with Connellys signature sprinkle
of local sites and lore mixed with a great story and twists and turns that keep you turning the page.

Awesome

Mr. Connelly as usual has outdone himself. Each new book is better than the last one. I don't know if I'll be able to read all of them, I may go insane before he finishes. Just a great author.

Very enjoyable and entertaining read

Maybe not my favourite Connelly book, but then, I'm a hardcore Bosch fan. The story was good, lots of twists, some a bit predictable and others a bit crammed in at the end. But genuine emotion present and characters were convincing. Great drivetime entertainment during my a commute.

I hope this becomes a series

I know Cassie Black has turned up in the Bosch series. I really enjoyed this book and I would be thrilled if Michael Connelly turned Cassie Black into a series. I feel that she is a great character with many different sides to her. I'd love to see him fill in the gaps of her life from this book to when she turns up in the Bosch series.

very good

I enjoyed this. My only real criticism stems from the choice of narrator -- he was good, but the story was primarily about a woman, so I found the male narrator to be a weird choice. I usually find Connelly's novels to be a bit predictable, but the twisted perspectives here made for a very interesting and twisty read.

the narration was very good. I think it needed a few more characters towards the end of the story.

I thought this was a very good suspenseful book. Great read. The narrator was great as usual.
