Amazing.

Loved it. Enough fantasy without the crazy extras and no over the board sexual content. nice little love story for the romance side as well. The narrator is great too...

Greywalker gets Better

So I've been trying to figure out why the Greywalker novels have such low reviews ... I think I've finally figured it out. Greywalker novels don't have anywhere near as much action as say the Dresden files, though I must also say that Kat Richardson doesn't have the humor the Bob the skull brings to Dresden either. Greywalker novels though are much more about the mystery than Dresden and as such have only a few action scenes.

However, this is the best Greywalker novel yet. I really enjoyed Underground. A lot more information is found out about some of the more mysterious characters in the novel, and many interesting relationships spring up. Also the world that Kat creates about the underground world of Seattle is very interesting even if reminiscent of Dresden's Undertown. Great novel really strong mystery and the answer isn't as obvious as the other two. Looking forward to continuing the series.

Fun!

Kat does a great job describing the veil between worlds. She makes it seem downright plausible.

I really want to like this series, but........

The only book that I've ever returned is the previous one in this series, "Poltergeist" It was sooooo boring. I thought this one was getting us back on track. More character building, and not so much with the friend's kid. It had a more interesting story, with Quinton playing a larger role, and more personal things going on with Harper. I did get bored with it though, as it progressed, just wanted it to end, so I could listen to something else.
I'm wondering now, if it might be the narration. She is slow and pretty emotionless. I read the first novel, and that's why I went forward with the series. Now, I'm wondering if I should just read the next in the series, or stop while I'm ahead. Decisions, decisions.

Another Great Addition to the Series

I greatly enjoyed this book. I loved getting to learn more about Seattle's underground, and all the history surrounding it. Also, the mystery and the paranormal twist was well written and very interesting. I love all of the characters in these books. Harper surrounds herself with interesting people. Plus I love that Harper is a competent, compassionate P.I. who messes up sometimes but always tries so hard to do the right thing. All in all a very good book and I can't wait for the next one.

Great series.

Narrator adds to the enjoyment. Great pacing and voices. I am really enjoying this series. In this book, homeless people are disappearing. The investigation resolves by the end with lots of twists. Quenton partners on the investigation. Other story threads for the series develop and will continue in next book. Really good series with a unique heroine who is strong and independent.

Wow new monsters in the Grey

Harper’s relationships are changing and are deeply affected by her being a Greywalker. The new case she has been asked to assist with is for her friend Quinton and as she delves in the the case she learns a bit more about the monsters and has to survive zombies and mythological creatures with the help of Ben and Mara.

O.K. story

I like the character, but this one kinda feel a little flat for me. Q man and Harper go well together in this though.
