Publisher's summary

This is my family: Vanished without a trace....

Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life.

This is what I know: Pain has a flavor....

When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted, with only a pile of their cell phones and electronic devices remaining. No witnesses, no ransom demands, no motive. Just a perfect little family, gone.

This is what I fear: The worst is yet to come....

Tessa knows better than anyone that flawless fronts can hide the darkest secrets. Now she must race against the clock to uncover the Denbes’ innermost dealings, a complex tangle of friendships and betrayal, big business and small sacrifices. Who would want to kidnap such a perfect little family? And how far would such a person be willing to go?

This is the truth: Love, safety, family . . . it’s all touch and go.

Awesome

This is one of the best books I have read in years! Continuous suspense and excitement right to the last chapter. A definite must read (or listen)!

Great listen!

Any additional comments?

This is an exciting book that will make you want to do anything to keep listening to it. I haven't finished, but I'm sure it will be a good ending.

The Story was terrific!! The accents... HORRIBLE!!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was great... I struggled to enjoy it as much because of the accents that the performer chose to use.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tessa - Strong supunky lady who used her heart as well as her head to guide her.

Would you be willing to try another one of Elisabeth Rodgers’s performances?

Only if she doesn't massacre the accents that she attempts to do.

Was Touch & Go worth the listening time?

50/50

Any additional comments?

As a New Englander I can be pretty particular about the accents that actors/actresses try to use... (Ben Affleck, a former Boston native, admitted to screwing it up in the movie "The Town"), but this was awful!!!!

Not the best Lisa Gardner but not bad either.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was good enough to keep me engaged on a long trip, which is all I ask from my audio books. The story moved quickly and the plot wasn't so complicated I would get confused if I zoned out while listening (which tends to happen when I'm driving).

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The narration was fine, other than occasionally the male voices seemed a little weird. Too macho sounding.

Was Touch & Go worth the listening time?

Yes

Wonderful book!!!

I am a longtime Lisa Gardner fan and this book definitely did not disappoint. It seems like each of her books is better than the last one. I really enjoy Kirsten Potter's narration for Lisa Gardner's books, but this narrator was absolutely flawless!! Kudos to Elisabeth Rodgers!! I didn't want this book to end and I can't wait for the next one.

Will keep you guessing...

If you could sum up Touch & Go in three words, what would they be?

Worth The Credit.

Any additional comments?

This is a fantastic story. The narrator was great--easy to follow and nice tone and inflection for each character. I am a huge mystery fan, and I'm very, very good at figuring out the end of a story. I deducted one star because I did end up guessing the "mastermind" about two-thirds into the story. Don't let this dishearten you. This novel is well worth finishing. In fact, I'll probably listen to it again. Very much worth my credit.

What a wild ride!

The two of them are a great team. Great characters, twists and turns all over the place. Written very well and maintaining some of the characters in her previous book. Love You More is how I started listening to Lisa and a wonderful place to start. This my favorite so far though. You won't be disappointed.
