Although she has set her sights on a handsome and beguiling new Frenchman, she can't quite stop obsessing about James. Easy-listening Cozy

I really enjoy cozy mysteries, and have listened to many (though not all) of the Agatha Raisin series. This one stays true to form - Agatha is her usual brusque and bossy self. She does seem to have gained a degree of maturity and self-awareness over the course of the series, which is nice (especially since she is in her fifties).

The story was good; sort of predictable, and I did figure out "who-dunnit" before the climax, but that's fine. I enjoy these stories for their comfortable setting, familiar characters, and general lack of gruesome violence.

One problem that I had, and that sort of gave a bit of the plot away, was the narrator. She was mostly pretty good, actually - but she got a few things wrong; namely, doing a French accent for a character who we only "discover" later can speak French. So - basically, we, the listener, knew of this character's French connection prior to the other characters in the novel.

It was a good listen, though, and worth the credit if you are into British cozies.

Delightful, Fun, and a Mystery/Thriller!

The writing is sensational with so many twists and turns you are never sure where Agatha will end up. The narrator is fantastic. She truly does an amazing job!

So glad Penelope is back!

These books are like junk food; not much substance to them but just gotta have one more! Enjoyed Penelope’s narration after the last two with a less versatile narrator.

Agatha Raisin's Confidence Wavers

In light of her ex-husband's marriage &
her own single state Agatha begins to feel her age. Her strong willed desire to find
romance clouds her judgement when viewing the potential murder suspects.
The success of her photogenic younger
protégé makes her question her own abilities. Another enjoyable installment of this British cozy mystery series.

Feeling left behind

As always this book was exceptional. So much going on within the detective agency. Agatha had so many close calls on her live. Everyone was watching for her.

Agatha always makes me smile

The books are light listening. There is a plot. There is a story. But it is the character of Agatha Raisin that makes me keep coming back to these books.
