Publisher's Summary

When It Falls, book 5:

After their success against the Ascendants is used by the Vestibulum as a cover for the mass murder of their old enemies, Sean has discovered that the Vestis are far more ruthless and dangerous than the previous two councils he's fought. After 200 years of holding on to the leadership position among all of the councils, obviously the Vestibulum isn't going to give up anything to anyone.

While Sean promised not to start a war, it's looking more and more like that choice isn't going to be his to make. Especially when the other Ascendant chapters come calling to avenge their dead.

Then there are the people that Sean saved from the Ascendants during the raid, all of whom he's responsible for, and for whom he now has to provide with a place to live as well as protections from the magic of their former masters. Then there are the four dark elves that were freed during the raid, two of whom are now very interested in Sean, and one isn't at all afraid to let him know, constantly.

And just how do you go about introducing your mother to your (several) wives when she shows up in a few days?

Stand on It, book 6:

Once again, Sean's home has been attacked by one of the Councils, only this time they've committed what they hoped would be an overwhelming force. While Sean and his family win the fight, Sean has been seriously wounded and taken out of action. For Roxy and the others, saving Sean's life has become the priority, but there are still things that must be done to secure their victory. Those tasks fall to Sean's other wives as they pick up where Sean left off.

While the Vestibulum may have lost this last battle, they are be no means giving up on the war. They know that they've hurt Sean, so their leaders are hoping that without his leadership, they can launch a new attack and kill him before he has the chance to recover. Word of Sean's difficulties has also spread to some of his other enemies, who are also keen to try and capitalize on these events.

Thankfully, Sean has allies, and they are moving to try and save his life. But can they get there in time?

WARNING: The Valens Legacy: Publisher's Pack 3 contains bad language, rabbits fornicating, attempted murder, actual murder, tantric magic, polyamory, mayhem, people who aim to misbehave, gratuitous sex and violence, an opportunistic goblin, an old man who gets broken out of an old folks home in order to cheat at roulette, and a group of guys who are willing to do whatever it takes to prove to their girlfriends that they really do love them, no matter how embarrassing it is (and trust me, it's embarrassing).

Less Simmer, More Plot

These "two" books are actually just one book split into two. It was a fun ride, but personally less fun than the previous books. I don't want to spoil much, but because of actions toward the middle, there is considerably less steamy scenes compared to the previous book packs: if you're only reading the Valens Legacy for the steamy stuff you will be let down, however if you just love the characters and Leland's skill, this book gets the job done.

basically porn...

throughout the entire series are graphic sex scenes the likes of which I normally find on erotic websites. I normally don't mind it every now and then but it seems half the pages in the otherwise interesting story was devoted to graphic sex...

not bad. but a little repetitive

i got nothing against the series as a whole. it was a good one. but it could use a little new material rather than more of the same.

the stories sold, but this book is sexist has fuck

title say it all, there a lot of might makes right and "I'm the king and I said so' in this book, that I feel takes away from the main story. which is why the story only got three stars.

to many sex scenes

I loved the story over all bust the sex scenes we're far to frequent and went on for to long. it got to the point that I was skipping sections.

Really love this world

The mythos behind the Lions is my favorite part by far. The characters are cool, the team dynamics are interesting. Some people are awesome others you are glad their teeth get kicked in. All in all love this series. Thanks Leland King for an awesome performance and thank you Jan Stryvant for a fan-effin-tastic series!

Another great addition to the series

More of the same fun we expect from the series. The next two books are already out so I can’t wait to hear the audiobook versions of them.

A great series

Sean and his girls are tired of being chased out of every building they set up in, after a gasoline tanker smashed into their building, Sean decides it's time to set up a real headquarters, with enough firepower to send the bad guys packing!

Loved every minute.

Great book, engaging characters and full of surprising twists. Sean needs to stop making the stupid mistake now that so many people are depending on him. Enjoyed reading every minute and can't wait for next book.

Yes lots of love and description with adult stuff but I liked it very much and I found the story really enthralling. I didn’t want to put my headphones down.

Story Continues to Impress

I just found these on audiobook — I had read them previously on Kindle Unlimited — and I really enjoyed them a second time as I binged on them.
I often find that by the time a series gets to the 5th or 6th book, they look track of the original story, but Jan Stryvant hasn’t.
It’s still a slightly awkward nerd who got the superpowers and the girls, who wants to live a happy life, and (f- it) get revenge.
Although it is not a serious / heavy story, they do touch on some serious subjects (eg slavery and non-con) and they are handled respectfully.
If you want a nice read about a fantastical battle with mystical s*** and kick ass women, then this is the one for you.
