can't wait

I like books that are a series. Get frustrated when the whole series is not available.

Narrorater has a saliva issue

Great story, but it was a hard listen. Narrorater saliva issue, constant swallowing noise and 'wet' speech was frustrating.

Awful narrator

I absolutely love the Eve Duncan series but this book was hard to listen to. The narrator was awful. There was constant swallowing, unnecessary pauses, and ridiculous volume changes for each different character.

Over the top masculine characters.

I have read several of Iris Johansen‘s books and while listening to this book I realized that I was not enjoying the characters. The male characters always seem over the top masculine with unlimited power to manipulate the women in the book and then they fall in love. I just didn’t enjoy it. It didn’t seem realistic enough.

Performance Review

I rated the performance a rating of 2 because the different voices had differences volumes. When the narrator was speaking as a woman, it was easy to hear but when she was speaking as a man it was too quiet. If I turned the volume up loud enough to hear the men clearly, I got blasted out by the women.

Great Book

I love the Eve Duncan series, but also greatly this book focused on Sarah, Logan, Monty, and Maggie. I hope we keep in touch with them in future Eve books!
