Publisher's summary

After the 1908 Tunguska blast levels a Siberian forest the size of London, a Russian scientist makes an amazing discovery amongst the debris.

In 1947, 10-year-old Fay Allen of Roswell, New Mexico, witnesses the fiery crash of an extraordinary craft unlike anything she's ever seen.

More than 60 years later, former Army combat engineer Tyler Locke rescues Fay from gunmen who are after a piece of wreckage she claims is from the Roswell incident. Incredulous of her tale, Tyler believes the attack on Fay is nothing more than a burglary gone wrong. But when he finds himself locked in the back of a truck carrying a hundred tons of explosives and heading for a top secret American base, Tyler knows that he has stumbled onto the opening gambit of something more sinister than he ever imagined.

Because disgraced Russian spy Vladimir Colchev is after an Air Force prototype code-named Killswitch, an electromagnetic pulse weapon of unprecedented power. Although Tyler is able to avert catastrophe at the US facility, Colchev gets away with the bomb and plans to turn it on America itself. To complete his mission, he needs only one other key component, a mysterious object recovered from the Roswell crash.

In a desperate race against time, Tyler must unmask a conspiracy a century in the making to rescue the United States from electronic Armageddon.

New narrator

what happened to the original series narrator who shared the author's name, Boyd? He was amazing. He really took you in to the story. This new guy is like a younger Ben Stein... monotone and dull. Plus his poor attempt at an Australian accent sounds less like an Aussie and more like a Belgian Mickey Mouse choking on a Bavarian cream pie while being attacked by the sisters from Shawshank during a prison shower scene

Interesting Explanation for The Roswell Incident

Would you listen to The Roswell Conspiracy again? Why?

Yes, The story line is very entertaining.

What did you like best about this story?

The way the author explains what happened in Roswell New Mexico in the 1940s.

Have you listened to any of David Marantz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but he does not do a female character very well; needs work.

Suspension of disbelief times 3

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

If really, REALLY are a Roswell conspiracy buff ( and I tend to count myself amongst those) then this book is for you. Otherwise, I recommend you stay away.

A genuine strech at best, entertaining at times, trite at others, and something I can't in all honesty recommend. I did, however, listen to the end, and ended up caring about the story line, although the characters were sketched at best.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not more of this.

What about David Marantz’s performance did you like?

How much he struggled with Australian and New Zealand accents was entertaining to hear.

Could you see The Roswell Conspiracy being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Not even the SyFy network could defend airing this.

Any additional comments?

Look, if you are into the entire aliens ( or not/! ) at Roswell thing, go for it. Boyd does bring in some of the more obtuse concepts about what really went on there, but you do have to wade through the entire story to get there, and it may not be worthwhile.

asinine

struggled to finish it. the characters were thin, and the dialogue was absolutely grating. I mean these are supposed to be intelligent characters but they talk like absolute morons in a locker room, and are constantly proclaiming themselves funny or smart without actually being that way. like someone calling themselves cool. constant eye roller, waste of time.

Amazing! 10/10 recommend Locke Series

Let’s start with the short side- I didn’t love the narrators voice but as I listened it grew on me. That my only negative comment!
This book was amazing to read. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It really pulls you in with the characters personalities and dialogues! Great character dynamics!
Tyler Locke is an amazing character! Every book is separate but if you read them In order you learn more about him each time even though you can read them alone. I love his development through out the 3 books I’ve listened to. I also love Grant Westfields development! Boyd Morrison really knows how to place details about characters!
The plot was well thought out! I loved the adventure! The descriptions of each place were really clear and I had no trouble seeing them in my minds eye! I love the Alien start and the scientific finish! All the ends were tied up just right!
I loved this book 10/10 would recommend!

Well done treatment of a controversial topic!

This is probably one of the best laid out explanations, one of many, of a topic that has fascinated man since we first start Stargazing! Mr Morrison took an accepted theory and made it appear as to have been indeed factual, and did it seamlessly, leaving few unanswered questions!! Well done indeed!
