Great read!

I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes this genre of writing. It was read very well by Pete. I will be listening to the next 2 soon.

not as good as I had hoped. not enough historical storyline as expected just a lot of noise and violence.

Action & Adventure galore!

This is a terrific read. I think it would make a super movie. I’m looking forward to the next book.

The fight scenes were too drawn out, got boring. Will probably get next in series to see if it gets better. Wanted more history.

Action Packed Adventure!

This was a good action packed adventure with nice twists and turns along the way. In my opinion, Chris Kudzneski does a much better job at this relic hunter genre. This book had an interesting plot and good characters but could have been better. Good book, worth a listen.

Excellent

Contrary to other reviews, I loved the characters and the story plot. The beginning was a gotcha hooked. It was not a Clancy wannabe, it stood by itself. Better characters, significantly more action. Loved it.

“Family” of relic thieves recruited by CIA

The CIA implausibly rescues Guy Body, the head of a gang of thieves who specialize in ancient relics. He CIA uses the group of thieves to go after the notorious Illuminati, who were formed in 1776 to work toward world domination. The story begins with an Illuminati-caused collapse of the Athens antiquities museum. Body’s gang and CIA agent, Heidi, go after the Illuminati “hood” that stole an important map just before the museum was destroyed. With the help of an archeology student who saw a copy of the map before it was stolen follow clues to the Illuminati headquarters. They fight for their lives at each map way point, but survive against overwhelming odds.

A well paced adventure

The story moved along nicely. Descriptions of localities were decently detailed. I, personally, found the characters a bit flat for my taste. Your mileage may vary.

The narrator had a pleasing deadpan delivery through much of the novel, but I’ve got to say his accents or dialect could use some work. Once again, this might just be my taste since I listen to quite a few UK accents.

I do like it enough that I will look for a sequel.

multiple ways to kill your opponent

90% of this story was a search destroy and kill scene 10% of it was about the relics.

Overall a good beginning for a series

Bodie and his team are all action all the time. This book is well written and evenly paced. It holds the readers interest
