Publisher's summary

As part of his street performance, a deception specialist who goes by the name The Raven picks his audience's pockets while they watch. It's harmless fun - until he decides to keep the wallet of a prominent politician, hoping for a few extra bucks. When he finds compromising photos of the councilman and his "personal assistants", The Raven hatches a plan to blackmail the man. However, he quickly finds himself in over his head with the Ukrainian Mafia and mired in a life-threatening plot code-named "Nevermore".

Private investigators Trudi Coffey and Samuel Hill must scramble to sort out the clues to rescue The Raven from a wild card bent on revenge.

Sinister, Conniving and Brilliant

The second in the Coffey & Hill Series is as good as the first, and takes the listener on a wild ride through both the upstanding neighborhoods as well as the seedier side of Atlanta. Rich in detail, the lines between good and evil blur, as you begin to understand the pain and suffering of a mother and grandmother who is bent on revenge . . . and a young man, raised in a Christian home, whose father is a minister, and is running from all his raising. . . into a labyrinth of corruption, alcohol and magic tricks. Trudi Coffey and Sam Hill come face to face with a threat called Nevermore, buried so deeply that no one can even prove that its real. Gritty, realistic and heart racing adventure in the lowest and highest echelons of Atlanta is what you’ll get in The Raven. Undergirded with the knowledge that God is ultimately in control. The culmination of the story is frightening and exhilarating. I wish there were more in the series. Because I am HOOKED.
