But worse was to come for Harriet. Her chance discovery of the old man's cherished secret was, she felt sure, the cause of the attack that finally stilled his heart.

Thoroughly Victorian

This is the 2nd Miss Unwin to which I've listened. I again enjoyed it very much. Sheila Mitchell has grown on me as the narrator to such an extent that I cannot imagine anyone else reading these very victorian stories. A great ending to the book.
