Encouraged by an attractive, maverick forensic scientist, and assisted by a keener-than-bright young constable, Bob does it his way. The trail leads the trio from Scotland to Mallorca, where intrigue and mayhem mingle with the crowds at a fishermen's fiesta.
"Peter Kerr writes with a combination of nice observation and gentle humour." (Sunday Times)
This is a lively little murder mystery with a fun Scottish detective in the lead. If you like good company on the airplane or in the car, this novel is a bonnie choice.

I loved this book, in fact as soon as I had finished it I went straight on line to order the next Peter Kerr book. Characters are strong and realistic, very believable. Fantastic story, with some nice humour too, made me laugh out loud several times, but still a gripping plot. The narrator was brilliant too. Excellent value for money.

This is a lightweight whodunit with a variety of delightful Scots accents read extremely well. It has a few unusual twists to the tale, and is quite funny; for those not blessed with a Scottish husband, a glossary of some of the Scots terms could be useful. Nonetheless it is a delightful light "read".
This is a fabulous listen,it is funny, gripping and I can't get enough of it.I put my life on hold just to listen to this audio.
The characters are interesting and if you want a great listen that will make you feel good, well this is the one.I feel bonded with bob,and the story is a classic murder mystery in modern Edinburgh.
The main character has a old work charm and the conversations with his superior are really very witty,as a listener you want him to solve the mystery and show up the senior policeman for what he is.
I have enjoyed this audiobook and will be buying more from this author. It is rare to fine a listen that ticks all the boxes.
