A local hero Will has spent the last six months investigating on a brutal rape charge.
But for Will - and for Dr. Sara Linton, the GBI's newest medical examiner - the case is about to get even worse. Because an unexpected discovery at the scene reveals a personal link to Will's troubled past.
The consequences will wreak havoc on his life and the lives of those he loves, those he works with, and those he pursues. But Sara's scene-of-the-crime diagnosis is that they have only a few hours to find the missing woman before she bleeds out....
Is there anything you would change about this book?
What is happening to Will Trent and all the other characters in this book? If I had this group of ill fitting detective's in my squad I wouldn't bother trying to solve crimes, I would just sign everyone in to the local mental facility for a check up. Whinny, moaning, complaining, are they trying to solve a murder or wallow in their despair, this is suppose to be a work of fiction, not real life.
Would you ever listen to anything by Karin Slaughter again?
Yes but not this character nor narrator
What didn’t you like about Jennifer Woodward’s performance?
As for the narrator, she reads well but her voices especially the male again come over weak, reflecting the rest of the book.
Did The Kept Woman inspire you to do anything?
Yes return the book

To fluffy in places with inter relationship stuff going on and on and on and so much introspection.
However, the story line is sound and the perform and ok. Except for the German accent which is more Arnold Schwarzenegger then rich lawyer.

There was just too much of the relationship between Will and Angie. It went on and on and on. I got bored with that part of the book. Shame. Not sure I will listen to another in case the author repeats the same mistake.

I have read many of the Will Trent books, but the audible format really brought this story to life and I understood the relationships between the characters as I never had in print. Fantastic

I would rate this lower if I could. The narration and story were terrible. Don't bother!
Narrator made them all sound stupid, the story was very good I always enjoy reading her books
The narrator's character voices were poorly delivered and not true to the characters. I have read a number of books in this series and enjoyed them all. I had to force myself to continue listening to the end. The narration turned it into a comedy. Disappointing. I won't be buying another with the same narrator.
This is the first book
From this author I have read/listened to. I loved it!! Great twist and turns that weren't predictable. I binged listened to it in 3 days as it was so good. Favorite book of 2016/17.

One you just can't put down. Don't normally write reviews but always read them so decided it was time. Love the continuing development of the characters. Liked the anti hero Will's x-wife.
