Would you consider the audio edition of The Jump to be better than the print version?
I love Annie's range on accents. Though, her scottish was a bit of a let down. Anyhoo, she is by far the best narrator Audible has. The only bit I didn't like fully about this book is the unsavoury part of the plot which I will not spoil for others. It made it difficult to get through some parts and I probably won't listen to this book again. I mean I finished it because I needed to know how it all turned out. BUT i normally re listen to Martina/Annie books a few times in case I missed something and for entertainment value. But because of the aforementioned unsavoury element of the plot, I can't re-listen to this one. I really had hoped that Donna would have done something better with the money... you know?
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Donna should have used the money as a sanctuary or other sort of foundation for the victims.
What does Annie Aldington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Emotion
A typical Martina Cole novel. Repetitive in places, intriguing, but not a best seller.
Overall an average listen, good narration.
Listened to half a dozen Martina Cole books and this is the best so far. Great story line and Annie Aldington brings the story to life. Best narrator by far

For those who are fans of Martina's style you'll love this, it's also one of her earlier works and more focused on the view from inside prison which is great-also great twist.

Another great twisting story from Martina. I would say the lead character 'Donna' irritated me but I'm guessing that was supposed to happen.
A typical Martina Cole setting, amongst villains and the more pure in heart. Loyal, naive Donna is willing to support her husband, Georgio, in everything. Events and knowledge see her evolve into a strong, assertive woman, whose integrity helps her become a survivor in its truest sense. Annie Aldington does great credit to this long, involved story in my opinion. A great listen.
you can't beat Martina Cole she draws you in from the beginning till the end
Gripping, great storey, twists turns and left hanging everything I had to switch off .first audio Now for another,
What did you like most about The Jump?
This was classic Martina Cole, and the narrator Annie Aldington is just perfect for the job.
What does Annie Aldington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Having heard several of Martina Cole books read by Annie I wouldn't want to read the books. She just is the characters, one can identify the various people purely by her range of voices, which makes her a super narrator for me.
one of her best books. aways good to hear A nnie Aldington narrate. . .
Loved every second of this book. Great plot and read very well. Such talent, I'm on a mission to listen to all her books
One of Martina Cole best story yet and narrated so amazingly by Annie Allading. superb
Scary story,
But I fully realise it's happening all around the world .
Wonderful writer immensely deep full of detail but quite
horrific it's happening now! People are totally unaware
But even worse do they care!
Thank you for all your energy and hard work to create this book.
Josephine.
If you could sum up The Jump in three words, what would they be?
London East End
What did you like best about this story?
gritty
Any additional comments?
the narrator definitely adds to the story by the fantastic accents of the London east end. I have listened to all Martina Cole's story's because of the narrator.
