Stark stories
Story line is predictable. No real surprises or twists. I do like them when I am at work as they don’t require a lot of thought and are entertaining. Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed them.

I liked the stories and characters but maybe it is just me but the narrator sounds too old for Harry’s 42 year old character. I love the books though!

Easy listening... engaging
If you like Harry Bosch, you will enjoy Harry Starke! I thoroughly enjoy this series. I can listen and still function in life... multi-tasking while listening. Nice job Mr. Howard! Can’t wait to start next 3 books.

Love me some Harry Starke but…
The first two books in this trio are the usual great Harry Stake story that we have grown to live after the first three books. The narrarators southern accent is perfect for the storylines. The 6th book in the series is horrible. It is half the chapters of the other Hs novels. There wasn’t any intrigue, brilliant detective we are used to. It was boring and the reader kept waiting for it to pick up, somehow Harry would bring his team in, but you don’t get any of that. It’s been awhile since I have been this disappointed since James Patterson and Michael Connelly started weaving woke culture into his storylines and characters.

A great series!
I'm on book 4, I have to say I really like the plot, the narrator and of course the characters! I really want to check out that country club and try some of that Frog Scotch! uh, ummm..Le Frogge? Is that real or fictitious booze?? lol! keep the books coming!! :)

Fun stories.
Fun story's. Real, Clean fun to listen to. Not deep, heavy novels, but just fun. However, mispronunciations from the reader fell like clangers at times. They were a bit distracting and off putting. Over all good stuff I'll get the next set as well.

not bad books but the box sets have an issue
The main problem is they treat all 3 books as one. You have no idea how far into the book you are because they don't distinguish one book from the other . Time left is always whats left of the whole 3 book series.
