Publisher's Summary

Everything is right on track for Danielle as she prepares for the grand opening of her bed and breakfast. All that changes when her cousin, Cheryl, shows up to claim her share of the inheritance - housemate Lily figures out there is a ghost in the house - and the million-dollar necklace goes missing. There is blood on someone's hands, and if Danielle isn't careful, she'll be moving from Marlow House to the Big House.

"Not as good as the first in series"

I felt the plot was tedious, almost child like. I was expecting more from this author, hope the next book is up to the standards of the first one.

being dyslexic, I never read allot but I loved books...doesn't mix right? NOPE...wrong...Audible allows me to "read" at a pace that works for me and they have a great selection of books to keep me interested. I'm a fiction , sci-fi, and adventure books with strong female characters reader. I have been on a Vampire kick lately so female protags have been on my list.

    "Ghost who loved diamonds."

I am so disappointed in this book. The first book was really good and entertaining, however this book was terrible. The cousin character was whiney and got on my very last nerve. I honestly couldn't get through the book....which never happens. The part I did get through was like listening to 7th graders. I want my money back!
I won't be purchasing any additional books from this author.

    "Must Read Series"

This is a great book. I read the Kindle version and I'm glad there is finally an audio version. I know I will enjoy it as well.

    "dumbed-down and frustrating storyline"

I like cozy mysteries. I expect a good story with well developed characters, some humor, some suspense; but overall a good MYSTERY! This is certainly NOT anywhere in "Agatha Christie" territory, yet I found the first book in this series to be enjoyable enough. A light-hearted "pseudo-mystery" with a bit of paranormal thrown in. This second entry in the series was just plain fluff. I mean if you are going to involve "legalese" i.e. lawyers and lawsuits and the way the law actually works - then the writer should do the research - otherwise leave it out. The story just got plain stupid and tedious (tons of repetitive filler dialog and retracing) with the way the characters were reacting to the situations. In this particular books there is an actual crime (multiple crimes) and a murder being investigated, and the author just made ALL characters into bumbling fools. The main character - Danielle - especially appeared to have lost all sense of what is proper/correct, etc. She just appears to be an absolute idiot throughout the book! I will not be purchasing book 3.
