Cruel depravity.

Cruel depravity read by a sweet narrator. Stories' point seem to be the debasing of humans at their worst.

Fascinating from the Beginning and Sucks You In

The story and the performance are excellent. Draws you in and holds your attention. The story provides insight into a facinating and deranged individual in a very unique way. You want to stay seated in your vehicle just to hear the end of a chapter.

Good story annoying narrator

While I enjoyed the story and was surprised by a few of the twists and turns , I found the narrator’s (Chicago ?) accent irritating. That combined with the cheesy banter between the detectives and basically sexual harassment of the female officer left me rolling my eyes along the way. Also the repetitive suspect list was redundant in the audio version. I think the author definitely has the originality and imagination for true crime but should leave all the “cool” guy fluff, that isn’t cool at all, out.

So good!

This was a fantastic book. Well written, creepy story, and great characters. I can’t wait to hear what happens next. The performances were perfect.

Really liked Sam. took too long to figure out why has not on the job.
bad guy was real good...
surprising.
glad they saved the girl.
suspenseful if you like thriller type mysteries.
serial killers aren't my thing.
would make a great movie.

Amazing listen , a definite must!

This story is just amazing and so thrilling everyone needs to read/listen.
This is one of my all-time favorite performances not only is the narration great but it adds to the story making it more captivating and nail biting.
From start to finish I couldn't stop listening I don't wanna spoil the story for anyone but just get ready for a lot of surprises and a great finish to this incredible story.

Good But Brutal

If you are squeamish, pass this one by. That being said, it was an interesting story and the narration was great.

WoW! Just WoW!

30 minute mark hooked me. Mouth dropped open as I drive to work. Every time I thought I had solved it, another twist was introduced. I enjoyed the narrators. Chapters alternated between past and present, each left you ready for the next. This book is definitely worth the listen! Give it your ear! Ha!
