The most perfect lives can hide the darkest secrets....

Mary has everything. Beautiful and rich, she lives on an exclusive street in the heart of the city, in a house with gorgeous views and an immaculately maintained garden. Her life looks perfect.

But behind closed doors the truth is very different. Her husband, Andrew, barely speaks to her, spending his days down in the basement alone. Her teenage nephew is full of rage, lashing out with no warning. Her carefully constructed life is beginning to fall apart.

And then someone starts sending Mary anonymous notes, threatening her and her family....

Everyone has secrets. But is someone at number 13 hiding something that could put the whole family in danger?

A twist-filled thriller with an ending that will shock you to the core. Perfect for fans of The Couple Next Door, Lies and Behind Closed Doors.

Terrible and saddistic

I had to restart this 3 times and couldn’t get past chapter 11. Horrible storyline.

Meh

This could have been a good story but it was so confusing. In part because there weren’t any dialogue tags so I never really knew who was talking. But also, I wasn’t really sure who the story was supposed to be about. The description makes it sound like it’s about Mary. In the end, yes. You know it’s about Mary. But the way the story is introduced, and the story that followed made it seem like it was Connor’s story. Quite honestly, I’m not even sure I understood the ending.

I wanted to like it but I was disappointed.

Not believable

Just did not make sense to me why Zachery went to all the trouble to sabotage Connor's life just because he told him to find another therapist and used his connection to get the cottage. Felt like the author didn't know how to get the story going so that it made sense. I regret the purchase.

Didn’t consistently hold my attention.

For some reason i found my attention wandering off and away. I re-listened to a few clusters of chapters because I could not stay hooked into story. Pretty much everything happens toward the end. Then we have to wait for full disclosure explanation of who, what, why. Can’t really recommend the story.
I liked the reader’s style.
