Publisher's summary

*From a USA Today bestselling author comes the exciting continuation of the Mind Dimensions series*

Kidnapped. Consciousness expanded. And that was just the start of my day.

I always thought I was a nice enough guy. The kind who’d never want to commit murder.

Turns out I simply lacked incentive.

Some crimes can never be forgiven.

Great addition to the Mind Dimensions series

Any additional comments?

After listening to the second book of the series (The Thought Pushers) I had no idea where it could lead from there, but The Enlightened hides quite a few surprises up its sleeves.

We will finally find out more about Darren's parents and what happened to them. We will learn that there is more to the Quiet then we knew, and we will get introduced to the Enlightened, another group of people with the ability to enter the Quiet.

As with previous books in the series there will be some unexpected twists. Darren will find out that the enemy is a lot closer to him then he expected, and he will also learn about the relatives he new nothing about. His relationship with Mira will progress further.

The second part of the book is filled with action, and once again I enjoyed the scenes where the Quiet is used for overcoming the obstacles in the real world. It is so well written you will not want to put the book down, especially since some new concepts of the Mind Dimensions are introduced. I can hardly wait for the fourth book which should give us more history of the Mind Dimensions and introduce us the Elders, guides who can spend lifetime in the Mind Dimension.

Author Delivers!

I have to say I am more into this series than before if that is possible. There are so many twists and turns that just when I think I am figuring it out something totally unpredictable happens. Darren finds out more about his family and how he came to be. He finds out that some people he just met are actually family and some he thought he trusted he could not. There are several layers to this story. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper.
I think about the books and the creative process behind them and am amazed at the ability of this author to create such wonderful stories. I guess some people are just blessed with the gift of a great imagination and the talent to express it. I can't help but be in awe of the whole process. I think to myself " how in the world did he think of that?" You won't be disappointed with this book and will want to hear the next installment!

Fantastic third installment

If you could sum up The Enlightened in three words, what would they be?

Spoiler Free Review:
Enlightenment is a thrill from beginning to end. As engrossing as the previous books, this series continues to be fast paced and action packed. Dima Zales is incredibly creative, in a genre that is sadly becoming copy and paste in terms of storyline. I love the plot twists, and how they change your perception of the story during re read. Hoping the next book will be out soon!

Enjoyable listen ruined by narrator

This series has an interesting concept and is mostly enjoyable, although being two steps ahead of the main characters gets old after awhile. The biggest problem comes with the mis pronunciation of some many words, most of them not too complex. Does nobody listen to these before they are finished or inform the narrator of their mistakes. I do not enjoy listening to narration I have to correct in my head

Another astounding composed book by Dima Zales!

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed the previous books by Dima Zales and was was eager to peruse The Enlightened. What a journey Darren had throughout this series and how his character has developed. He has really taken the World of Mind dimension to a new level, leaving you so intrigued by his ability that you find yourself turning each page till your realize you have just finished the book. The personalities and identities of the characters has ejected into such seriousness and riddle. Dima Zales again draws you into venturing with the characters through all the appealing wanders aimlessly of yet another incredible created plot loaded with activity, riddle and new advancements of mind dimensions. Another astounding composed book by Dima Zales!

The saga cannot get any better!

If you could sum up The Enlightened in three words, what would they be?

Drama, Unpredictable and breathtaking. Believe me, I haven't been so hooked with a saga before like this one. I can compare this to The Lord of The Rings, it doesn't have the same background or anything but I can relate it to how well written the story is. Every loose end from previous chapters get completed and solved in this new book that for me still wouldn't close completely the story. The universe of the mind dimension, is indeed, a dimension so vastly deep like the mind itself. You can create stories from stories and keep letting your imagination going.

What does Roberto Scarlato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The whole character and personality of the characters. I always love listening to audiobooks more than reading them. I like them because I can listen to them anywhere, in the traffic, laying down, at the gym. Sometimes it feels like a song, you get trapped by the whole scenario that the song is creating, the ambient, the sensations, the feelings, that's what happens when I listen to The Enlightened.

Any additional comments?

I believe that this saga had so much potential since the very fist beginning, and I am so glad that I could've listen to the whole saga. Each book amplifies your panorama of the story in a way that, once you start you get hooked up to see what's next and that's why you go to the next book devouring each one incessantly. But there's also a good thing, if you would read for example, this 3rd book without reading the previous books, you would understand everything that is happening and is enough to caught your attention, you wouldn't know why is it happening because you haven't read the previous ones, and that would be exactly why you would read them, to know how a intense, creative and complicated story was brought to life.

Monotonous reading does no favours to a reasonable

By this third book in the Mind Dimensions series I am mostly inured against the frustratingly monotonous, emotionally flat and sometimes downright incompetent reading of these novels. Sadly the reading does not do the writing any favours, the only saving grace is that the story has enough novelty value in the characterisations and narrative twists that it holds the interest. I can't help feeling I would prefer reading to listening to this series.

The Best So Far But....

There are still plot holes galore!!!!

If you have enjoyed the last two books you will enjoy this one just as if not better than the previous two books.

Darren is at his most relate-able and issues I have had with the last two books are mostly fixed in this book.

The plot twist in this installment are surprising.

The only thing I really had a problem with was the pacing which seemed rushed at times.

The first two were better.

The first two books of this series were interesting reads. In this one, the protaganist has just become obnoxious, and the pro gay stuff is just stupid. Looks like the author is milking this for the money. Go read Heinlein if you want to see what good science fiction is like. I see a fourth is coming in this series. Thanks anyway, I will be skipping it.
