Amazing!

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the scarlet pimpernel books!!! This is the third one I’ve read preceding The Scarlet Pimpernel and I Will Repay. All very well written!!! Definitely recommend reading all of them!

In Awe of Baroness Orczy

I loved this book - well-written romantic escapism from anyone’s droll life! The insanity of revolutionary France brings home my fear of the not yet equal insanity of the politics here in our own country.

Good story

Very enjoyable historical novel. The narrator was not the best. She is a good reader but raced through the sentences. No voice inflections. I was pretty frustrated at first. Once I concentrated on the characters it got better. I did enjoy the book.
