Critic reviews
"A feast for the senses, The Copper Bracelet continues the standard of excellence established by The Chopin Manuscript. Action, intrigue, suspense, they are all there. Another certified no-question-about-it-winner from a remarkable collection of talent. Bravo." (Steve Berry)
"What a blast to collaborate with some of the greatest suspense writers around on the thriller event of the year." (Joseph Finder)
"I can't think of a more enjoyable writing experience in my twenty-five years of being a fiction author than writing The Copper Bracelet and its predecessor, The Chopin Manuscript. We writers spend way too much time by ourselves in dark rooms, and it was a delight to emerge from the cave and hang out, so to speak, with my peers. I have to say that I sat down to read the manuscript with more than little trepidation. I needn't have worried. I was blown away...[and was] fascinated to see how a group of authors with vastly varied writing styles and approaches to creativity produced such a cohesive thriller with a relentlessly fast-paced narrative. (And, okay, I'll admit, I got a voyeur's kick in seeing how my talented co-authors ply their craft.)" (Jeffery Deaver)

Jeremy Crawford, husband of best-selling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish. Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity's notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read.

Story
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

Story
When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Story
The doorbell rings, just days after my beloved husband’s sudden death. I don’t recognise the woman on our doorstep, with her blonde highlights, a diamond bracelet identical to my own and a bouncing baby boy in her arms. As I show her inside, I notice her eyes grow wide as she takes in our spacious hallway, and the big squashy sofas that we all used to pile on. She glances at the silver-framed family photos and my little daughter hiding behind my skirts. She looks at me, her blue eyes serious. ‘I’m sorry’ she says. ‘I am your husband’s girlfriend. And this is his son.'

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Difficult to Follow
This was hard to listen to, it jumped all over the place and I had a hard time keeping track of it. Albeit I only got to the third chaper before I just stopped. It was just too confusing.

too much
This story started well but soon became so complicated and going in so many directions and so filled with 'we thought it was this, but now we know it's that' moments that I really didn't much care after a while what the copper bracelet was and why anyone would go to so much trouble for it . . .

A brilliant story.
I was amazed how many writers could intertwine a gripping story. I would certainly recommend this audio production.

Excellent Read!!!
Phenomenal, addictive, interest-grabbing from the start and steams along at a steady pace. This book is incredibly well written and Alfred Molina is brilliant.
I have lost a lot of sleep listening to this book that refused to let me turn it off.
The only downside is I have to wait another year for more.

A Roller Coaster of a Book
This book is as enjoyable as The Chopin Manuscript. Each author takes the story in unexpected directions, providing most satisfying twists and turns. Characters drop like flies, and the plot charges forward like a bullet train. Although each author has their own style, they manage to weave a seamless whole.
Alfred Molina is perhaps one of, if not the, best narrator of audiobooks I've heard and I've been listening to audiobooks since they were only on cassette. Tone, pacing, pitch and interpretation of the material are flawless. His voicing of characters gives each an identity without being overbearing or overdone. He can do accents extremely well. He's a joy to the ears.
Having come fresh off a Scott Brick narrated book (The Paris Vendetta) I was refreshed, and my faith in audiobooks restored by Mr. Molina's superb talent. Scott Brick should give Mr. Molina's books a listen, he could learn a lot.

Carries the reader well
It suffers a bit from the multiple authorship. Still it maintains suspense and excitement. A great from some great story tellers.

Great reader
Wonderful narration! Nonstop action and fun plot. But, I gave it a four star rating instead of five for the slightly choppy feeling. I'm sure this was due to the many readers, but it took just a little away for me.

Just When You Knew...YOU DIDN'T..
Where does The Copper Bracelet rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
High, no doubt. The subtle change in the feel of the story as the authors change is wonderful.
What other book might you compare The Copper Bracelet to and why?
Nothing I've heard or read to date.
Have you listened to any of Alfred Molina’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
He is a marvel. His "females" are done expertly. Not easily accomplished without becoming silly or absurd, he's a master narrator.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Same as my headline "Just when you knew..YOU DIDN'T"
Any additional comments?
Couldn't help wonder how much the authors deliberately and in good humor took their sections totally off in another direction of the previous one just for the hell of it LOL, it all worked beautifully.

Great Listen!!
Once you start, you won't want to stop. The pace is great. I only listen in time limited increments. I couldn't wait to get back to the book. Highly recommended.
