Very much so, fun listens and he leaves you wanting for more while not leaving you with unanswered questions!

This book reveals a softer side of Quinn.

The twists and turns of this book keep the story going strong. By the end of this story we see a side of Quinn never seen before. I can't wait to see the next book.

Quinn and Company are Back!

Not disappointing attention grabbing suspenseful satisfying ending, always surprises! Scott Brick's narration, superb, as usual.

Solid addition

This is a solid addition to the series. The action is good and the narration top notch.

loved it. i reread books 7 and 8 before 9 and 10.

these are getting better

The dialogue has improved lot since the early books in this series (far fewer instances of a character saying "What?" to enable exposition). The plot is far more complex than usual . . . highly unlikely, but it makes for a good ride. And speaking of rides . . . although the intrepid heroes traverse a great deal of very interesting country, the book takes no notice of scenery or general geography. Although the streets are accurately named, Walla Walla is no different in the narrative than Yakima or Lawrence, Kansas. It is as though the author was looking carefully at a map, but could not know (somehow) that the tour his characters took is a great journey through ever-changing and often beautiful scenery, in areas with utterly different climate and geomorphology and history and people. Even truck drivers, tied as they are to the sameness of truck stops and rest areas and other homogeneous Americana, notice when they are crossing mountains and rivers and experiencing weather and forests and plains and deserts.

In short, Mr. Battles, I enjoy your books, but I recommend you take a long drive and get out of the car and walk around in different places, so when your characters travel their experiences of the sensory world will be reflected in your prose . . .

Good Other Than Orlando

The book started off quickly like most of the books in this series. The author gets straight to the story and holds the reader's attention throughout the book. There are a lot of players in the story who are all trying to find and capture Dani (the woman who Quinn and Nate find in a basement of one of their cleaning assignments). At one point I felt there were too many teams and players who added little to the story. I thought the story would have worked fine with fewer of them. However, after getting to the end, it makes me wonder if some of these minor characters might show up in a future book. Otherwise, what was the point of the last few pages telling the outcome of some of the minor players.

There were a couple of things that I found unreasonable. First, I would have expected Quinn and Nate to eventually figure out they were being captured on traffic cameras when they were so easily tracked. I would have thought that when they would procure a new car, they would at least hide their faces with hats, scarves, etc when driving on a major road. My biggest issue, though, was with Orlando. She was definitely the weakest part of the story. Not just because of her actions while being days from giving birth, but also because her dialogue and POV were annoying throughout the entire book.

The ending was okay, but the birth of Quinn's daughter in this situation was unnecessary and a distraction to the real story. I thought the way things were resolved at the end was also too basic and flat.

Overall, I still like the series. It's a quick and fun read to escape from the real world.

A classic Quinn story

It follows on in the Quinn sequence. By now we know the characters and if we liked them, well we kept on reading / listening. This is a surprisingly believable story and well executed. Scott Brick does what he always does, driving a great pace with a strong cadence. While I didn't care for him as a reader at first, now I know what to expect and he delivers. He also does not waste time playing at different voices, and I for one appreciate that

Great addition to series!

Captivating from beginning to end. Jonathan and his heroes are great. The listen kept me guessing with all the twist and turns. Would like to see another one in series along with Scott Brick as narrator.
