Publisher's Summary

Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover.

But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next.

Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together.

Bringing together Michael Connelly's two most popular characters, The Brass Verdict is sure to be his biggest book yet.

Super book!

Micheal Connelly must have lived on the dark side for a good while to be able to write this stuff so well. He is amazing!

Peter Giles not a good reader

After I read Lincoln Lawyer I couldn't wait to read the next in the series. I started this book and barely made it to the end. I couldn't distinguish between most of the characters because Peter Giles basically kept the same voice for everyone. If you liked the voice of the Batman cartoon character you won't mind this reader.

THIS IS THE ABRIDGED VERSION!

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the story, but really wish I had noticed that it is the abridged version before I bought it! I would have enjoyed the unabridged version for twice as long!

Loved It

A different side of Bosch. I didn't know he knew he had a half brother. Who knew it was a lawyer? I don't remember him knowing his father at all.

Loved the listen

I'm hooked on the Haller series. This one gave the background on the connection between Haller and Bosch. I know it's one of the earlier books but I have a bad habit of jumping in the middle or end of a series.

Love Peter Giles narration. If Connelly reads reviews, Please don't change the narrator. I love this series and it's more entertaining when Haller and Bosch work together. Grumpy and cynical together. More, more, more
