The Agggrieved, Jonathan Quinn, Book-11..

I enjoyed this Jonathan Quinn book-11. It tied up several loose plot lines from previous books, that remained active (Unresolved).
In fairness, I did think this book dragged-on a bit. (Compared to previous J. Quinn books). I continue to enjoy Jonathan's "No nonsense" problem solving style [Not unlike other fictional protagonists: John Rain, Nicolas Linnear] that I hold in high regard.. While I can't claim to practice the "Kick-Ass" skills of many of my favorite Spies and "Bad-Ass" Avengers, I do share 1 thing in common with them; I do not ..."Suffer Fools, Gladly"! I can enjoy their direct conflict resolution style that may strain the social constraints of "Polite Society". I am able to appreciate a nice bottle of Tattainger, Blanc de Blanc., or Bollinger-should I be in the mood for smaller bubbles. Let us... "Vivre la vie, Richement!"

Enjoyed the group of misfits

I definitely enjoyed the multiple characters and how they interacted. Made this book in the series more exciting. A little annoyed by the lack of communication-ish between Quinn & Nate. Seemed it could have been stronger.

ANOTHER HOME RUN!

I've listened to all of Brett Battles' Jonathan Quinn books and I didn't realize how much I missed the character Jonathan Quinn and ESPECIALLY Scott Brick's voice. After completing this listen, I feel like I've just gone home for a heart warming visit. It's so good and so worth the credit. Because of the way this book ended however...Brett...you need to hurry up with the next release in the series. It's not comforting to leave us hanging!!!!!!!!!! SO...FOCUS on Jonathan Quinn!

Amazing book!

Another great book! Not everything goes as planned all the time. But payback is a b***h. Mhmm. Especially, if you harmed Quinn or anyone close to him.

This series is A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read it, you will not be disappointed.

Scott Brick is fantastic. He narrates this whole series and does a super job. Thank you Scott Brick and Brett Battles for this audible series!

Jonathan Quinn is one of the best series!

The Kindle ebook version of The Aggrieved was available in early June. Since the audio version was going to be delayed for four months, I read the Kindle version when it was released. I'm glad I did because The Aggrieved is a very complex book due to all of the globetrotting and the sheer number of characters.

Having now completed the Audible version and I am pleased as always with Scott Brick narration.

The Aggrieved begins where The Unleashed ended. Quinn's younger sister Liz who is also Nate's girlfriend has been killed by a female assassin who believed she was another woman. Both Quinn and Nate blame Nate. The man who hired the assassin is a Pakistani terrorist. The ultimate goal is to track down the terrorist and two of his henchmen while freeing two sisters married to the henchmen and capturing the assassin. Ultimately, after months of searching all are found in London. The operation is huge involving many good guys doing the tracking. One can easily foresee some of the characters appearing in author Brett Battles' future novels in his Ex-Coms spinoff series. Meanwhile Quinn's and Nate's partnership is in question. Orlando, Quinn's wife, is not only invaluable as part of his team but also helps Quinn and Nate deal with Liz's death.

I do not have a favorite novel in this series, All 11 are terrific.

There's nothing not to love

I was hanging out for this book and was not disappointed. I bought it as soon as I could and placed it at the top of my books to listen to.
Brett Battles has become oneof my "go to"authors as the stories are fast paced and have a team of characters who increase interets.]
My advice? Give it a whirl.

The end of Quinn and Nate.. :(

So, the end of this was kinda sad but it does lead to Nate’s first book, Night Man.

This was had so many extras in it it was hard to keep track, but really unnecessary. They were after terrorists as well as a woman assassin, so it went from one group to the assassin and all the shooting they did was with tranquilizer guns. AND some of their guests were the crew from the series Excoms.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 2 times. Really? We’ve gone from using f*** anywhere from 20 to 40 times a story to using it 2 times in the last 3 books? I don’t get it. You can’t fill books with killers and bad guys and only hear that word 2 times. C’mon Brett, lets be real!!!

As to the narration: *sigh* Scott Brick, what can I say?

The Ending

The ending left you wanting more. It was nice to see some of the old characters return for a short time. This book can ether be really good. or just ok. Its something you have to listen to for yourself.

Fascinating

I always enjoy my forays into the world of Orlando and Quinn. This one was particularly interesting because of all the machinations and technical insights we were given as they were searching for the “bad guy.” Hope the ending is not really the end. Scott Brick, as always, is the best!
