Publisher's summary

The hunt for dangerous man leads to a secret past, full of troubling questions.

The search for two missing girls led Lieutenant Miriam Sandoval to an unexpected showdown that she narrowly survived. Following the shootout, her main suspect fled the scene with his last remaining captive, young April Johnson. Now, Miriam must not only find the "Chancellor of Doom" before it's too late, she also has to convince a skeptical police department to assist her, especially with the FBI taking over the case. Their suspect soon calls Miriam from a secret location, taunting her and promising vengeance. Are his words meaningless threats or is Miriam's own family in danger of retaliation by a twisted lunatic? The clock is ticking, and the game is close to an end.

Grips you to the end

I listened to all three books in a row. So worth it. I won't more.

same ole same ole

I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator. Repeated sentences and inconsistencies. This book is pretty much just an elaboration on book 1. The narrator has a pleasant voice, but she is just reading the book. She makes no attempt to make a production or entertaining story of it like a lot of narrators do.
