Publisher's summary

The next thrilling instalment in the Women's Murder Club series.

After a dramatic shoot out at a ferry dock, Detective Lindsay Boxer is called to the scene to find that three people have been killed, and one of her closest friends, Claire, has been shot and lies bleeding, whilst the murderer is on the run. Lindsay promises Claire that she'll hunt down this killer and bring him to justice, but sadly, it doesn't prove to be so straightforward.

A man comes forward claiming to be the ferry murderer, and Yuki Castellano, one of the Women's Murder Club, prepares to set out the charges against him. But it's not all over; a child has been abducted and is still missing. To increase the mystery and confusion, there are a series of suspicious and unexplained deaths in the building where Cindy lives - yet another of the Women's Murder Club is in danger. Lindsay discovers yet more abducted children, and the hunt begins in earnest to return the children to their parents.

130+ chapters does not need a musical sting!

Firstly I didn't like the cadence of the new narrator but I got used to it. Whoever produced this performance should have at least been aware of name pronunciations from previous books to maintain continuity.

Patterson books have always had way too many chapters but normally that's fine, in this case there's a 10 second long sting for each one! Do the math and you spend a lot of time listening to that not the story.

I'll carry on with book 7 but I'm sad there's no change back in author.

Depth to the story, my first Women's Murder Club and will listen to more. Liked the lack of foul language and multiple facets to the book

I can't listen to this narrator.

I just can't. I miss Pat's voice narrating. She became the characters and I was able to connect with her and follow the story intently. Not so with this narrator. I'm disappointed.

Great story, stop the sound effects.

Really great story, plot and narration. Also, the volume is not so jumpy from one chapter to the next, thanks for ironing that out. But please, stop the sound effects at the top and tail of each chapter! This isn't a children's book. I really don't care for it.
