Publisher's summary

In Swimming to Catalina, ex-cop-turned Manhattan attorney and investigator Stone Barrington is back, still smarting from his sudden breakup with brilliant, beautiful magazine writer Arrington Carrington, who has left him to marry Hollywood's hottest male star, Vance Calder. Then Calder calls Stone for help: Arrington has vanished without a trace, and Calder, refusing to call the police, wants Stone to find her. Arriving in L.A. with little to go on, Stone soon finds himself in the deepest kind of trouble as he nearly drowns in a sea of lost leads and empty clues that take him from Bel Air to Malibu to Rodeo Drive. In a town where the sharks drive Bentleys and no one can be trusted, Stone must use all his wits to find Arrington and keep his head above water, without losing it.

Drenched in Hollywood glitz and glamour, and filled with the dizzying plot twists and turns that have made his novels New York Times best sellers and international sensations, Swimming to Catalina is Stuart Woods' fastest paced, most riveting, and unabashedly fun thriller yet.

Classic Stone Barrington

I love the narrator of the Stuart Woods novels. He is AWESOME! It is nice to have the same voice for all the characters throughout the different books.

Must Listen

I am a huge Stone Barrington fan. As a lawyer I appreciate the realism of Stuart Woods legal eze. Typically Stone finds himself in trouble trying to help out someone he just met. This time he crosses the wrong "family" and finds himself alone in the middle of the ocean handcuffed and no life jacket. The lights to Catalina Island are miles in the distance and his buddy Dino is not there to help. One of Woods best. Keeps you on the edge the whole time. I highly recommend this book.

I can’t get enough of Barrington

Yes, I love these books and Barrington even tho if my son was in bed with all those women, I would strangle him.. there really is a name, I’m sure, for men like him!
The books I do enjoy! I am always excited when a new one comes out!

Think twice before doing business with the ...

What made the experience of listening to Swimming to Catalina the most enjoyable?

As always, Tony Roberts brings Stone Barrington to life in a way no one else can. Not only does he do this but he fleshes out all the other characters in the book! Following the main characters thru another event in their lives brings dimension to all of them and the world of law, police, Hollywood and New York

What did you like best about this story?

I can not mention just one thing that I like about the story. It's a well woven story.

What about Tony Roberts’s performance did you like?

Mr. Robert's ability to flick from one character to another, no matter if female or male, origin included is great!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I can't give THAT away! =)

Superb writing. Loved the early start of Stone's love for Arrington. And always Dino there for the rescue!
