I almost gave up on this one, very glad i didn'!!!

This book goes back and forth in time which gets very distracting and hard for me to follow. It starts off somewhere near the middle/end of the story and leaves you wondering the heck really happened until the end. I guessed what happened, but not the why and how which was one of the things that made this book so great! but there were multiple other parts that totally shocked me. absolutely loved it and will listen to it again.

Suicide or Not?

This story is about smart, beautiful Anne Williams and her best friend Karoline and explores the complex relationship between the two friends. Anne endures great suffering with feelings of shame and guilt after Karoline’s fall from their 7th floor apartment balcony. Anne travels to Canada where she discovers her true family and uncovers painful childhood events and discovers a family history filled with unexpected crimes and betrayals.
I listened to the audio version of this book and had a difficult time getting into the story at the beginning. The book however; developed slowly into an excellent mystery with great character development that I could not wait to finish.

Boring

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author / narrator / publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.

The book was unbearable to listen to mostly because of the snail's pace of the story. Chapter after chapter, almost nothing happens in the book. There are way too many unnecessary details which add nothing of substance to the story. All the characters are quite boring and don't make you connect with them. After a while, I got so bored that I didn't care about the death and the "mystery". I had to abandon the book eventually.

Great mystery

The story started off strong I love stories that catch from chapter 1. The main character is extremely vain but develops to an actual decent human. The long lost family line was a little too far fetched for me but I loved the characters. I would loved to have known alittle bit more about the diary the author kept reading. The book ended a little too quick for me but overall this was a good book and definitely worth a credit. I received this book for free for an honest review.

Great horrorish story!

The story begins and Anne confesses to herself that she killed her friend. The story is her retelling of her life after the death of Karoline. The women had been friends since they were kids. They come from affluent homes and live together in L.A. At some point they drift away before Karoline is murdered.Later revealed maybe Karoline isn't who everybody thought.

Anne is deeply depressed and doesn't know who she is or how to live without Karoline. Piece by piece what really happened is revealed through memorey fragments and vivid details. There are plenty of plot twists and crazy unexepected turns of events. Fantastic!

i recieved this book free for a honest review.
