My friends call me Sonya - Mr. Anderson calls me the Black Widow - you can call me "Succubus."
Sonya, a succubus, struggles with her affliction. She can have any man she wants - until she screws them to death. That's why she's tried a girlfriend on for size, but a girl's still got to eat. Being a lesbian would be great, if only Sonya were human. Unfortunately, she's not, and she needs to feed to survive.
The trail of bodies has led Detective Anderson to Seattle. He's determined to find hard evidence and put Sonya away for good. Normally a man would be no match for a succubus, yet Sonya's powers seem to have no effect on the determined detective.
Dubbed the "Black Widow," Sonya must evade the law until she can find a way to overcome her curse, which means finding the Blood Stone, the relic that killed her mother.
Note: This is a novella and audiobook, which means it is shorter than a typical novel and is intended to be a part of a larger series.
Short and fast-paced story. This wasn't what I'd expected. The storyline is interesting, but I wasn't able to connect with the characters. This story ended with a cliffhanger, be advised! The narration was good and easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Loved this! Great start to series that had me hooked from the beginning with a great story and complex characters. The author did an amazing job of bringing her story to life through her narration. Can’t wait to listen to the next part of the series! I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

This is was a surprisingly entertaining, if short, paranormal romance story. It has a a decent story line, but a cliffhanger ending. The narration is pretty good, and the book didn't just focus on sex and relationship stuff, so that was a plus for me.
the story was good and the book was very enjoyable but why the cliffhanger though the book had one it was forgivable and interesting so yeah the book was good

Sonia is a succubus and requires to obtain energy from males to keep alive. She doesn’t get Her energy from females so her current companion is female..seems she can swing either way. Her draining from men eventually will kill them and she doesn’t want to do that anymore
We met Sonia, her girlfriend Sarah, brother, Succubus king, and Mr Anderson who trod he uses her friends to trap her.
It’s fast paced and full of action but I never got too drawn in to care about the characters. So the story was ok not a big attention getter for me. Also don’t care much for cliffhangers
The narrator had a perfect voice for the story but she could have paced differently as I felt she was in such a rush to squeeze as much as possible into a short time
Ok but won’t listen to it again but good enough to be a little interested in next book. But the obsessive sex without real connection isn’t a draw for me

The author tells in the description that it is part of a series but I hate engaging in a story only to get to the end and have to wait for the next book. Which could take anywhere from months to years to get out. This causes me to have to revisit the first book in order to understand what is going on in the new story. Even a novella can end without a cliffhanger if treated right. It can allude to the next story in the series but finish this one. The story was fast-paced and the narrator was good.
Succubus, muses, and Incubus's take stage in this story where one can be born in the power without a choice and has to take a life in order to live. Sonya's wit is awesome and her struggles feel real.
Nicely written story. I don't care for cliffhangers so that brought the rating down. I wasn't crazy about the ending...It felt unfinished to me.
This was such a wonderfully fun and thoroughly entertaining short story that sparked my interest and captured my heart. I can't wait to hear more from this exciting series! The storyline is a fun, original idea that fully engaged my head and heart in no time.
The characters were very interesting and promised to touch my heart deeply. I loved the twists and turns along the way. Finding an unwanted surprise can make a story that much deeper and more satisfying in the end. The highly unique characters proved to push past my boundaries and open myself to a world of promise and fantasy that thoroughly loved.
I enjoyed the narration of this story and how it gave such depth and heart to it. The quiet yet powerful way that words reverberated off my heart had me listening with bated breath to see what happened next. This series sounds like a fantastic original hit!
