Publisher's summary

Lily O'Connell, a succubus, has put her unique talents to work. She owns Lily Bound, an elite sex salon in the Blood Night District of Seattle. When a client turns up dead in her club, and she hears the news that the Souljacker - an old tattoo-artist friend-turned-vampire, who was institutionalized years before - has escaped to reclaim his "artwork", Lily knows she's next on his list.

With one of his tattoos on her thigh and nowhere else to turn, Lily hires Archer Desmond, a chaos demon and PI, to track the vampire down before he tracks her. But she didn't expect to fall for Archer - and they say a succubus who falls in love will destroy the heart of the one she seeks to claim....

Worth Every Minute

I've read books by Yasmine Galenorm before, so, I knew this would be an entertaining story. I was not disappointed. As I expected, the characters were well developed and engaging and so was the plot. I hope audible gets all of the books in this series, because, I'm sure they will be enjoyable.

Spectacular!

Dark, sexy, mysterious, and fun! Galenorn's writing is masterful as always and Campbell's performance brings the story to life. I hope the author decides to revisit these characters someday.

Another great Galenorn series

The story had been very entertaining and flowed wonderfully. I shall certainly look forward to hearing the next book in the series.

was not what I hoped

the story did not grab my attention
the love scenes were rushed and unemotional
I ended up falling asleep halfway through it and having to go back which is not normal for me.

in all fairness it could have been the performance because I kept thinking that it sounded like Tavia Gilbert but was obviously not

I debated between two stars or three stars and opted for three stars to give the benefit of the doubt

Underwhelming to the Nth Degree

Think of how flour tastes; the flavor of this book is flour. You might be thinking: "But this book is about a succubus! How could it possibly be so bland?" I agree. How could it!

The plot--what little there was--was uninspired and mediocre, at best. The characters were equally drab. I scarcely cared about any one of them; in fact, the protagonist was vaguely annoying, and the lead male failed to make me swoon.

I almost gave up several times, but I kept at it, for two reasons: 1) I kept thinking maybe it would really get rolling in the last leg of the journey; and 2) since this is obviously set up to be a series, when Book 2 comes out, it may pique my interest, and then I will wish I had bothered finishing Book 1.

Having actually finished Book 1, though, I have come to two conclusions: 1) I can't imagine how the author could possibly squeeze any additional plot from the first book to substantiate a second; and 2) even if the author does manage this feat, I don't think, even then, I'll have any interest in pursuing this further.

I'm ready to cut my losses.
