Murderer, terrorist, and international arms-dealer Henri Cazaux is the world's most wanted man. Taking off from Chico Municipal Airport in a cargo plane bloated with stolen missiles and high explosives, Cazaux looks down to see the fiery orange glow of his devastating ambush, an ambush put in place to stop the US Marshals and ATF officers who were looking to arrest him. With many dead and wounded, the US military, in concert with these embittered lawmen, rally against this clear and present danger.

And where the Air Force's top guns come to test them, on the frontlines of a new era in warfare. The fiasco of a spy's infiltration has the Pentagon looking for an excuse to close Dreamland down. To clean up the mess, and save Dreamland from the congressional chopping block, Lt. Colonel Tecumseh "Dog" Bastian is sent in.

But the program has its critics and doomsayers, including Russia, the United Nations, and the American press. Wealthy, Western-educated, and sophisticated Russian president Leonid Zevitin uses a combination of top-secret anti-spacecraft weaponry, fearmongering, and new U.S. president Joseph Gardner's own egotism in an effective plan to eliminate all support for the space program.
Gardner and his allies in Congress and the Pentagon will stop at nothing - even destroying one of their own - to get what they want. Yet McLanahan and his forces refuse to allow the Russian aggression to stand. McLanahan ignores directives from the White House and Pentagon to stand down and orders the ABF to attack secret Russian bases in Iran.
President Gardner orders McLanahan's immediate arrest. But before authorities can throw him in jail, they have to figure out how to retrieve him from the space base orbiting the Earth.
Currently in control of the Aerospace Battle Force from Armstrong Space Station, McLanahan closely watches Russia's movement of weaponry while defending himself against the president's attempts to discredit him. In a race against time, McLanahan must outmaneuver his own countrymen, defeat the Russians, and expose the truth...or die trying.

If you like the 'High Tech' side of Military Power then this is for YOU. The writer says the things that we all want to say and you find yourself talking/yelling TO the book.
The ending was too short though...could have taken off some of the mid section and used the time for the ending.

I began reading his books as an adolescent and have been reading them now into adulthood. Every book is spot on, tied in with current events and impossible to put down, or in this case, turn off.
Cheers, and enjoy!
What was most disappointing about Dale Brown’s story?
The characters are too shallow good guys or bad guys and the author does a terrible job at getting into their heads.
The bad guys do bad things merely because they're evil and good guys because they're out there to protect the innocent at great personal sacrifice and cost.
its just epic....
great story....
need more!!!!
well done dale brown....
on the down side...the narrator isn't as good as other dale brown books
Dale Brown at his best. This book was right up my alley with action, suspense and drama all the way. I excellent listen.
