Publisher's summary

Jason Bourne returns in this stunning new thriller from Eric Van Lustbader, continuing Robert Ludlum's classic series.

General Boris Karpov, head of the feared Russian FSB, is dead. But Karpov has reached out from the grave with an unstoppable cyber operation he conceived before his murder, aimed at the heart of the United States - a way to steal the president's nuclear launch codes. Who has taken over the operation? Karpov trusted only one man: Jason Bourne. But can Bourne be working against his own country? The US government is convinced of his treason and is doing everything in its power to kill him. Flushed from cover and gravely wounded, Bourne's only hope is to join forces with his bitterest enemy: A powerful Somali terrorist named Keyre and his protoge, the Angelmaker. If he hopes to survive, Bourne has no choice but unravel the mystery of Karpov's last legacy - a weaponized code that may bring about the unthinkable: A violent end to America.

Hard to listen to

I love the Bourne movies and was excited to give this a listen. The story was pretty solid and the plot intriguing. My challenge was that the reader seemed a bit removed from the storyline. Also, the tone and cadence of the voice he used for the main character was flat and almost hard to listen too. I gutted it out and didn't return it, but there are so many better picks out there. I will listen to the previews more closely next time to make sure I don't have to go through that again.

Disappointing.

lt is a pity that author copies class B action movies instead of develooing the full potential of this exceptional character. I know how difficult it must be to compete with the real world, which became a thriller itself. Nevertheless, one expect from Bourne novels more than a dummy Bourne and a plot, which is artificial, predictable and devoured of true emotions.

Terrible narration

Holter Graham ruins this book. Foreign accents are muddled. Womens voices too soft to understand. Will not buy another audio book that he reads. Had to turn volume to the max to have a chance but still couldn't understand most of it

very disapointing

The story was unbelievable and the writing appeared sloppy compared to all the other Bourne books. I was very disappointed in it.

Ludlum never fails to impress

Very good listen, I've read multiple soft covers but this is the first ludlum/Borne I've listened to. beyond a few slow parts that made me give it a 4 (were 4.5 available I'd chose that), otherwise can't miss with this one.

Very disappointed.

Actually finished it hoping it would get better or I would adjust. The narrator was one of the worse I’ve experienced. And I listen a lot. 20+ titles a year. The story seemed OK but hard to follow. The narrator made Jason Borne sound like a pizza delivery dude.

Just okay

Fine JB book but does he ever age? Easy listen and storyline is okay. Not worth a credit but if a 2 for 1 go for it.

Good manual labor listen

I enjoy keeping up with the story line while moving lumber and cleaning up an area in readiness for winter.
